Had a team lunch with my colleagues today. I ordered the grilled salmon with miso sauce. The sauce was a little too salty, especially after I poured the whole serving over the salmon. On the bright side, they served salmon belly, which is my favourite. However, the portion was quite small considering the price of $25.90 (excluding tax and service charge). The highlight of the meal was definitely the free-flow salad bar. There was a good variety of fresh salad, along with scrambled eggs, rolled egg (which was a bit dry today), and omelettes. The selection was impressive, and everything tasted fresh. One of my colleagues ordered the triple cheese burger. The beef patty was very tender and delicious, although the presentation looked quite plain and didn’t feel like something you’d expect from a restaurant at this price point. Our table was located near the kitchen, so it became quite warm during the meal. A special shout-out to Shu Xuan, who thoughtfully brought us two handheld fans even though we didn’t ask for them. Her attentiveness and excellent service really made our dining experience much more enjoyable.
View on GoogleHamburg Steak Keisuke/Tanjong Pagar serves Japanese style beef hamburg steaks on sizzling hotplates, together with a free flow salad bar & egg buffet. Every main course automatically comes with 90 minutes access to the unlimited buffet bar. I went for the Triple Cheese Prime Beef Hamburg Steak Set S$26.90++, paired with Keisuke Original Sweet & Spicy sauce. The set came with a prime beef patty, deep fried prawn/ebi fry, deep fried tofu, silky tofu/豆卜, & bean sprouts with miso soup, & plain rice. The signature beef patty was stuffed with a molten mix of cheddar, mozzarella, & parmesan cheese that oozed out once cut open. The meat itself was juicy, tender, & succulent…… but overall, it didn’t really give me that “wow” factor. From the free flow station, the cha soba salad, deep fried tofu with radish salad, tamagoyaki, sunny side up eggs, & soft boiled eggs were pretty good. Especially liked the chilled buckwheat green tea noodles/cha soba tossed in a light citrusy with savoury sesame style dressing. It worked really well as a light appetiser to balance out the heavier, oily richness from the hotplate meat. Overall, quite a fair deal for the price & variety offered.
View on GoogleValue for money keisuke restaurant. You get free flow of noodles, dessert, salad bar and eggs. 3 types of eggs include fried egg and tamago. Estimate cost $20-30. Cost shown exclude tax and service charge. Wait can be long if your group is more than 4 people. Generally 30-60 minutes wait during peak period
View on GoogleOne of those hyped about popular places but really nothing memorable except ok, the salad bar has good variety, thats about it. the hamburg steak is meh, the soy mayo sauce which i thought sounded good but turns out its just soy sauce and the mayo is a satchet of kewpie. Dessert is watermelon and orange slices with some boliao coffee jelly which is so bitter without the cream. Save ur money.
View on GoogleOften see long queue and decided to head down for dinner during Easter Friday. Queue was much shorter at 8pm. I had the Keisuke prime beef and my husband has the triple cheese prime beef. Price is slightly on high side (only one piece of hamburg) but the salad bar makes it up for the pricing. However if you hate greens, then this place may not be value for money for you. I loved the eggs section! They have 5 different style of eggs and the half boiled eggs is so good. Looks just like yakun style. Crack it and dip the Hamburg in it. So yummy. I minus one star because the triple cheese prime beef was so salty. The cheese was way too salty. I would not pay $2 extra for the cheese.
