It wasnt too busy on a Sat dinner. The gyutan is delicious. The bonito fish is very nice. You can order dessert from koko next door and have it at Gyutan. This is rather nice.
View on GoogleWe visited Gyutan-Tan for their 3rd anniversary and tried their refreshed menu, which pairs really well with their signature gyutan dishes. The space feels cozy with the open grill adding a nice charm, and service was warm and attentive from start to finish. The Spicy Pork Belly Don was hearty and flavorful, while the Mentai Tenaga Ebi stood out with juicy prawns and a creamy mentaiko topping. Among the sides, the Foie Gras Chawanmushi was a real highlight – silky, rich, and layered with unagi and crab – and the Torikawa Ponzu was crisp and refreshing. We also enjoyed the kushiyaki skewers, especially the Tomato Maki and Aspara Maki, which were grilled perfectly. Dessert was a sweet ending with the Okinawan Rum Chocolate Sand and Raspberry Sand, both light yet indulgent. Overall, the menu is well thought-out, the food was consistently delicious, and the experience felt genuinely enjoyable. A great place for Japanese grill lovers looking for variety beyond the usual
View on GoogleWe enjoyed a delightful cosy dinner savoring grilled dishes, tasty main & sides, & seafood. My favorite is silky Foie Gras Chawanmushi & bite size pork belly wrapped Kushiyaki skewers grilled with various fillings go so well with premium sake. Clear broth Ushiojiru is comforting with fresh asari clams. Shio Kombu Cabbage, Maison Foie gras Maki & Torikawa Crispy fried chicken skin to dip into appetizing tangy citrus sauce. Spicy Pan-fried Pork Belly Don and perfectly grilled jumbo river Ebi Mentai sauce fills our happy tummy. Our sweet treat are different flavors - Raspberry Sand & Okinawa Rum Chocolate Sand. Recommend!
View on GoogleFood was not bad. My friend ordered fish and she said fish was a lot. Can order the cake from koko cake next door too. Tue lunch can use grab 15% off + sign up as member get $5 off. We ordered cheesecake but it was a bit hard.
View on GoogleHard to beat the food and service at this price. We always order the gyu tan, which were grilled till smoky. We preferred the mixed one ($25) with a combination of both thin and thick cuts, and a few sticks of yakitori - the gizzard and tsukune is quite good. I’ve been here since 2022 (second photo taken during my first visit using a camera); and the first photo, just another casual visit on a rainy night.
