Came here for lunch with wife. I like the chill atmosphere on a weekend workday. My thai stall food kangkong and green curry chicken was good. My wife’s papadum wasn’t disappointing on the portion and price. Will come to try other stalls like viet, jap, western etc.
View on GoogleA pleasant spot for a relaxed meal or casual drinks. The beer selection is good and reasonably priced, making it easy to linger, while the food selection offered different stalls offers a variety to suit different tastes. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable venue with solid offerings on both food and drinks.
View on GoogleThis spot is a 5-star winner for overall vibes, hitting that sweet spot between cosy and chillax, complete with a smoking corner for those who partake! 🚬 The service was quite attentive, earning a solid 4 stars. The food, however, was just alright; nothing to write home about, but it filled the void. 🍲 The atmosphere here is truly top-tier! 🌟 I felt right at home, soaking in the good ambience. Definitely a gem for unwinding. ✨
View on GoogleHad Vietnamese f and coffee. Beautiful place to sit and relax. I was lucky and it was about to rain. There are quite a few weather transitions in this area made lovelier with the canopy of trees around. I think that’s what makes this place unique.
View on GoogleI recently visited Essen @ The Pinnacle, and it was such a pleasant surprise! At first glance it looks like a modern, upgraded food court, but the quality here feels a lot more elevated than your usual kopitiam. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between laid-back and stylish — with both indoor and al-fresco seating that’s great for casual lunches, dinner with friends, or even just drinks after work. What really stood out to me was the variety of food on offer. Instead of being tied to just one cuisine, Essen brings together several stalls under one roof — from Western burgers and pizzas to hearty Asian and fusion dishes — so everyone in the group can find something they’ll enjoy. Each stall feels like its own little kitchen, and many of the dishes we tried were genuinely tasty and well-executed. Despite being a collective space, the ambience didn’t feel chaotic or noisy; in fact, it felt thoughtfully put together, kind of like a convivial neighbourhood hangout rather than your typical food court. The staff were friendly too, and the price point (about $$ per person) makes it easy to come back often without feeling like you’re overspending. Overall, Essen is a great place to gather with friends, enjoy a surprisingly good range of food, and soak in a warm, welcoming vibe — definitely worth a visit if you’re around Tanjong Pagar or Outram Park.
