Ordered the raw crab lunch set. The set was quite comprehensive, coming with two pieces of raw crab, an assortment of banchan, a mini kimchi stew, rice topped with seaweed and ebiko, and an iced coffee. Among the banchan, my favourites were the potato salad and japchae. The mashed potato was incredibly smooth and silky, with a creamy texture that made it very enjoyable. The japchae was also well-seasoned and delicious. The banchan also included cuttlefish. The highlight of the meal was, of course, the raw crab. There was a generous amount of crab meat inside, and the meat had a pleasantly soft, good integrity and slightly squishy texture. It felt fresh and satisfying to eat. The only challenge was figuring out how to get the meat out of the claw section—I wasn't quite sure of the best way to tackle that part. The kimchi stew was another pleasant surprise. It was flavourful and comforting, and I didn't expect it to contain several pieces of pork. One downside was that the staff really chase you out of the restaurant at 3pm :( So don’t reach too late!

The food was really good! Especially the bbq and the raw crabs. The crabs weren’t too fishy and the bbq meat was cooked well by the friendly staff! Everything paired really well with the makgeolli. The staff constantly checked in if everything was alright and refilled our side dishes. Atmosphere was lively and really nice. Would come back again :) Ps, it’s best to have a reservation as always!

Had an excellent dining experience at Charim Korean BBQ and was truly impressed by both the food quality and service standards. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and professional, making the entire dining experience very enjoyable and comfortable. One of the highlights of the meal was definitely the appetizers. The mashed potato was incredibly smooth and flavourful, while the spicy squid stood out for its unique taste and texture. These side dishes were memorable and not something commonly found at other Korean BBQ restaurants, which made the experience feel even more special. The beef selection was also excellent. The staff took the initiative to help us cook the meat and prepared it perfectly to medium rare, ensuring that the beef remained tender, juicy, and full of flavour. It was clear that they paid close attention to the cooking process and customer experience throughout the meal. Beyond the food itself, the service at Charim deserves special mention. The waiters were proactive in changing the grill, checking in on us regularly, and ensuring everything was served promptly. Their attentiveness and professionalism elevated the overall experience significantly.

We ordered the beef and pork combo. We had a little customization request which was well agreed upon. Side dishes were nice especially the fresh green leaf lettuce (with some sesame sauce if not wrong) and fried tauge (not in picture) was very fragrant. Beef melts in the mouth..wonderful. Kudos to Jaya…great customer service and attentive. Did not rush us but prepared the food in a timely manner. P/S: Understood that all pastes and ingredients were made by a Korean lady. Further substantiate the authenticity

Was here with my good friend for dinner on 20 May Friday. Love the food, 😋 and ambience 😍.... Especially the spicy raw crab 🦀 with wide variety of side dishes, paired well with soju and makgeolli. Authentic Korean food... Makgeolli is interestingly served in the pot 😋😋 The service staff Nay is very friendly, courteous, attentive and always ready to serve. He makes sure the pork belly is well cooked before serving us. Thumbs up for the execellent service 👍🏻👍🏻
