Cafe Monochrome in Chinatown is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a unique dining experience. The cafe’s black and white concept creates a classy, elegant atmosphere that feels like stepping into a sketchbook, making it perfect for photos and a peaceful break from the busy streets. The Oreo waffle was absolutely delicious and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and topped with generous Oreo crumbs that paired perfectly with the rich flavours. Every bite was satisfying without being overly sweet. The friendly service and stylish ambience made the visit even more enjoyable. Whether you’re looking for a cosy cafe, a great dessert, or a unique spot to unwind in Chinatown, Cafe Monochrome is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Through reviews we see that it might be a great option. We ordered the Mocha frappe, the matcha strawberry and a sweet sour cake. Food is below average. We may not take photos before ordering, completely understandable. With the food being below par with better options around they may want to start taking entry fee at the doorstep that maybe used as food coupons inside paired with poor service. People who like the idea may order a coffee, maybe enjoy the run down 2D effects and swish. Honestly, not coming back here. Even the photos we took were for the google review after the host was weirdly loud and rude.

One of those cafés you have to visit at least once, especially if you’re exploring Chinatown as a tourist. Cafe Monochrome is super easy to access, and from the moment you walk in, the concept already stands out. The fully black-and-white interior creates a unique, almost surreal experience. Definitely not your typical café. I ordered the aglio e olio and truffle cream pasta, paired with strawberry matcha and mango matcha—and honestly, everything delivered. The flavors were well-balanced, and the drinks were refreshing without being overwhelming. You have to try their desserts too. On top of that, every corner of the place is incredibly photogenic, so it’s almost impossible to take a bad picture here. Food: 5/5 – flavorful and well-balanced Service: 5/5 – friendly and efficient Atmosphere: 5/5 – unique and very photogenic

I really liked the relaxed feel at Cafe Monochrome in Chinatown. The food and atmosphere both stood out, and the service was solid as well. It was surprisingly quiet on a Sunday afternoon, which made the visit even more comfortable. I’d happily stop by again.

Cafe Monochrome is the kind of place that makes you stop for a second the moment you walk in. The 2D black-and-white design feels like stepping into a living sketchbook, and that illusion is what makes the whole experience so memorable. What stands out most is the visual charm. Every corner looks carefully designed, from the bold outlines to the playful contrast that gives the cafe its comic-book personality. It is not just pretty in photos — it has a creative identity that makes the visit feel special and a little magical. The atmosphere is both fun and inviting. It feels like a place where you can sit back, enjoy your drink, and keep admiring the details around you. Even if you come just for a coffee (but truly I came for the perfect comic-style click), but got to know that first u need to buy something to take that pic. But yea very justified, as the setting makes it feel like more than a casual stop; it becomes an experience. There is something genuinely impressive about how the cafe turns a simple meal or drink into a memorable outing. It feels artsy, thoughtful, and full of character. For anyone who enjoys unique spaces, Cafe Monochrome is the kind of spot that leaves you smiling long after you leave. My some really loved its overall appeal.
