A decent place with European cuisine. If it weren’t for our child, who really wanted pizza, we probably wouldn’t have ended up here. Unfortunately, the pizza was not good. The tomato sauce tasted too much like ketchup, and the dried oregano ruined it completely. We also tried the Spanish-style shrimp, Thai octopus salad, and steaks - all of which were tasty. They only serve German beer. The service was friendly: the staff explained everything, were very attentive, and even let us taste the beer so we could make the right choice.
View on Google⭐ Juicy Review for Wine Connection — Church Street ⭐ Last night we became the very first customers to try Wine Connection’s brand-new “The Holiday Spread” at Church Street — and honestly, it felt like we unlocked a secret festive menu before the rest of Singapore even knew it existed. There were three of us, one festive menu, two bottles of Cabernet, and an incredible amount of laughter fuelled by good food and even better wine. 🥂 Our Wines • OGC Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 — the bottle that came with the set. Smooth, young, and surprisingly friendly for a 2023 Cab. • Ryder Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 (California) — our “bonus bottle.” Bold, confident, and absolutely perfect with the meats. Cabernet + festive food = a very dangerous but very beautiful combination. ⸻ 🍴 The Holiday Spread – Our First-Ever Taste Test 🥗 Smoked Duck & Fig Salad We kicked off with a gorgeous plate of smoked duck, paired with sweet figs that almost tasted like Christmas ornaments you can eat. Smoky, sweet, tangy — if holidays had a flavour, this might be it. Great start. 🍗 Spring Chicken with Truffle Mushroom Sauce This one was comfort food dressed up for a party. Tender chicken, creamy truffle mushroom sauce, and that rich aroma that just makes you slow down and smile. We were not expecting spring chicken to be this festive, but here we are — licking the plate emotionally. 🥩 Herb Butter Sirloin with Creamy Spinach & Tomato Confit The star of the table. Beautifully cooked sirloin, dripping with herb butter, sitting beside creamy spinach so good it should be illegal. The tomato confit added that little spark of sweetness — like the Christmas lights of the dish. Pairing it with the Ryder Estate Cab? Magic. Absolute magic. ⸻ 🍽️ Appetiser & Dessert (Chef’s Holiday Specials) Before the mains, the chef sent out a festive appetizer — a little savoury bite with seasonal flavours, the kind that makes you go, “Okay… this meal is going to be good.” Dessert was a scoop of ice cream & a piece of cake, came with a cosy finish: something sweet, creamy, and perfectly portioned to close the night without feeling heavy. Ideal after two bottles of wine and three ambitious humans. ⸻ 🎉 Overall Vibes • We felt like VIP taste-testers. • The service at Church Street was warm, playful, and happy to see us dive into the new menu. • The food? Festive, generous, and perfect for sharing. • The wine? Let’s just say the conversation volume got progressively louder in the best possible way. If you want a holiday meal that feels indulgent without being pretentious — and pairs beautifully with a Cabernet night — the Holiday Spread at Wine Connection (Church Street) is absolutely worth it.
View on GoogleWine Connection is a great place to find good wine at reasonable prices. While dining in has different prices for the wine, which is common, the food is always delicious here. The truffle fries are a must-try, and the gambas are fresh and well-seasoned with crispy bread. The pizza margherita and salami are also well-baked and flavourful, very nice. The dessert selection is lovely, with many options to choose from. The chocolate lava cake with ice cream is a nice dessert to have for sure One of the least favorite dishes is the lobster pasta. The lobster was small and not very fresh at that time, and the pasta was cooked well and it was okay. The service is friendly and attentive, which is a plus. Overall, it’s a great place to come again. One thing that could be improved is the seating arrangement. We were told that the indoor seating was fully booked, but after sitting outside for three hours, some tables inside remained empty. We didn’t receive a call to get indoor seating, so it seems like the system needs to be improved.

Prem has extensive knowledge of the menu and always provides outstanding recommendations that never disappoint. A big thank you to the entire team—Zaili, Prem, Grace, John, Abdul, and Joy—for their warm hospitality and excellent service. You all made our dining experience truly enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back again!
