Song Fa Bak Kut Teh at Chinatown Point always hits the spot when you are craving a comforting bowl of peppery pork rib soup. The broth is fantastic—served piping hot and incredibly satisfying, just the way it should be. What really makes the dining experience stand out is their attentive and fast service. Even during busy hours, the staff are quick to get you seated and served, and they come around very frequently to proactively refill your soup without you even having to ask. It is the perfect place for a quick, hearty meal where you are guaranteed to leave happy, full, and well-taken care of!

I’ve visited this Song Fa outlet a few times, and I just realised I’ve never actually left a review. The Chinatown Point branch is one of my favourites. The seating is comfortable, and one of the best reason is that you can queue for table inside the shopping mall with air-conditioning instead of standing outside in the heat. Among the different Bak Kut Teh styles in Singapore, if you enjoy the white pepper soup base, I think Song Fa is a very solid choice. My personal favourite is their braised pork intestines – incredibly flavourful and tender. (I usually order it, but I was feeling a bit too full today, so I skipped it.) I’m usually not a big fan of the meat in soup dishes, but the Small Pork Rib Soup surprised me. The ribs were tender yet pleasantly chewy, not dry at all, and I was happy to get three generous ribs in the bowl. The peppery broth strikes a nice balance, not too light, not overly strong, with a gentle kick of spice. As for the pig’s stomach soup, it was good and pretty much what you’d expect from a classic version. This outlet is very popular with tourists, so be prepared to queue during meal times. If you can, try visiting outside the lunch or dinner rush for a much more relaxing experience.

This is apparently a chain but this location is Michelin recognized. The establishment was busy and the line to queue in was only 20 minutes. In line, they give you a Special QR code so you can order ahead of time and by the time you sit, your food comes out in 10ish minutes. Not going to go too in depth on taste as it was my first meal of the day so I was starving. Check this place out if you want cheap eat and Michelin recognized.

Good food, fast service and a must try. Pork soup was heaven. We keep on asking for refills. Chilisauce is handy, my partner enjoyed the soup more with it. A plus for us. The fall off the bone moment was humbling, meat was soft and flavorful. It was a best decision to make this our first meal in SG after hours of jetlag. Also, tried braised pork and intestine and did not disappoint. I would order this again. I was forewarned that waiting will be longer but we were seated right away. It is always packed, medium sized dining but fast-paced seating. We enjoyed our meal. I believe staff can communicate average to good english.

Tried out Song Fa Bak Kut Teh’s Chinatown Point branch. 30 min wait on a Saturday afternoon. Staff came by three times to refill our broth. - Pork ribs soup ($11.80 SGD large) - 5 tender ribs. BKT broth was piping hot, very white peppery. Not herbaceous at all - Plain rice ($1.50 SGD) - Dou miao ($8.30 SGD) - small but enjoyable
