Review: Amps Tea @ Chinatown Point Amps Tea @ Chinatown Point is strictly a takeaway-only spot — no seats, no lingering — just a sleek, eye-catching storefront designed for grab-and-go tea lovers. The minimalist setup works in its favour, with clean lines, modern branding, and a polished look that stands out amid the bustle of Chinatown Point. It’s the kind of storefront that quietly says, “We focus on the tea — not the chairs.” I went for their Peach Oolong Milk Tea, and it did not disappoint. From the first sip, you get a bright burst of juicy peach, followed by the fragrant, slightly roasted depth of oolong tea. The flavours were well-balanced — fruity without being artificial, creamy without being heavy, and sweet without crossing into cloying territory. What really stood out was how refreshing it felt. The milk tea was smooth and velvety, with the oolong cutting through the creaminess nicely, leaving a clean, elegant finish. It’s the kind of drink that feels indulgent yet refined — perfect for sipping while strolling through Chinatown. Overall, Amps Tea proves that you don’t need a big space or seating area to make a strong impression. With a sharp-looking storefront and a well-executed Peach Oolong Milk Tea, this is a solid stop for quality takeaway tea done right.
View on GoogleGood quality milk tea. Tried the amps tea latte with panda balls. It’s unique for the naming as the balls are grass jelly and the konjac peals. Tea taste is a little weak for hot option.
View on GoogleDisappointing cup of tea, definitely not worth the price. The tea taste is non-existent and the milk taste too cloyingly sweet.
View on GoogleGenerally good service! Just that the staff was ignoring me at first. There was a lady that brought food there to eat and she purchased a drink so that she could chill there. However, she got chased out. As the place is an open area, I was not sure about the strictness but if I were the customer, I would not be very happy!
View on GoogleFemale staff was yapping away to male colleague so loudly at Chinatown Point branch. That’s why the stall was empty even though many people walking by. Same lady took my order but fail to ask if have certain cards for promo or if member. (It’s my first time here so I didn’t know what they have). I lost 5% discount for passion card holders. Right after she finished taking my order, she continued yapping to her colleague. It’s like she didn’t stop except to take orders. Another customer came behind me and ordered. Same thing, she didn’t ask for anything but luckily the customer is a frequent and told her she has member card. And her yapping continues. Either she has too much grievances or she just need to learn how to behave at the front counter where everyone can hear! Bad experience. Drink isn’t outstanding too.
