The curry here is perfectly balanced - rich enough to coat your tongue in velvet, but drinkable enough that I found myself tilting the bowl for the last drop. And the chicken? Poached to absolute tenderness, soaking up all that spice. But the real star of the show for me is the tau pok. Been my go to for a couple of yrs. But today was a very disappointing one. Standards lost. Price increased to $7 for the smallest portion. Curry still flavorful. Lots of noodles and small taupok. But 2 pathetic same size dry chicken breast. Feels like I'm eating plain curry noodle or chicken noodle.

I did not realise there was another Ah Heng Curry Chicken Beehoon Mee located at the Hong Lim Market Food Court. But since they have 3 stalls here, I am assuming this famous curry laksa has its roots here. The taste was consistent and portion for SGD7 which is the smallest was enough for my lunch. Don’t forget to add the chili to add the right balance of ‘kick’ to the curry. Overall, same delicious curry laksa. No complaints about the taste. Chicken was firm and as usual the curry had a soft potato which added some nice texture. However, the food court needs to be upgraded and does not look very clean.

Highly don’t recommend the curry bee hoon shop on the left although it claims to be the same shop as the right. Paid for the $8 portion, barely get any meat(less than a chicken wing portion) for the amount paid. Went back to the stall and they verified that this is the $8 portion. The stall on the right is more generous with the portion.

Pathetic portion even for their $8.50. Been patronizing them since their $3/4/5 days till now $6.50/7.50/8.50, I am well aware that their most expensive $8.50 is in fact not a big portion but you get a drumstick instead or in my case additional pcs of Breast Meat. But now not only the pieces of BM reduce(4pcs today), it's also smaller cut. In fact every ingredients in the bowl are shrink, even the broth was so little that the texture and taste was muddle by the noodle. Update May 2026: Really didn't want to patronize them anymore but all my other choices were either not open or having extreme long queue which include the OG unit of this stall. So gave them another chance....to yet another disappointment. Today, despite having just 2 customers before me, they got my order wrong and gave me the medium portion instead of large that I ordered and paid for($9 now). It's easily noticeable by the type of bowl they use. I didn't complain because I am taking the opportunity to see how noticeable "smaller" this medium portion might be and in the end it is the same 4pcs of breast meat, the same amount of chicken I got previously when I ordered the large portion. Not only I felt short change this time, I felt short change throughout previously whenever I paid for the large portion but was probably getting just the same as medium portion with a different type of bowl. Will never be back.
