Ramen broth is very rich and flavourful but still enjoyable to drink! Egg is great, chashu is so so (very soft and not much flavour to me) , came bc of Ghib ojisan to try since I'm in the area I suggest getting the normal size if you're a girl cus the Japan size is rly so huge Also they give so much taogeh yum yum
View on GoogleWent to Nantsuttei for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. We ordered: • Dragon Ramen: Nice level of spice without being overwhelming. The pork broth was rich, thick and flavourful, making it easy to keep going back for more. • Marutoku-Negi-Chashumen: The black garlic flavour is intense in a good way. Paired with the generous amount of spring onions, it creates a really nice balance of richness, freshness and crunch. I also asked for raw garlic, and they brought out an entire plate of garlic cloves together with a crusher. Unfortunately, I got a little carried away and finished all of it. I say “unfortunately” because I eventually realised I was basically eating garlic soup. The crushed garlic sank to the bottom of the bowl, and it takes a while for the flavour to fully develop. I was too impatient and thought it wasn’t enough at first, so I kept crushing more and adding it in. By the end of the meal, the garlic had caught up with me and completely taken over the broth 😂 • Fried Pork Karaage with Wasabi Mayu Tartar Sauce: Decent, but probably my least favourite item of the meal. The crust was a little too hard, especially after being covered with the sauce. The wasabi mayo itself was quite nice, but I don’t think it paired particularly well with the pork in its current form. It might work better if the sauce was served on the side as an optional dip rather than being poured directly over the karaage. Overall, the ramen was definitely the highlight of the meal. Just be warned: if you order the raw garlic, exercise more self-control than I did.
View on GoogleNantsuttei is not your usual Ramen house……😎 I walked 🚶♂️past this Ramen 🍜 place on a few occasions and took a mental 💭 note that I will come by, simply because right at the top, it says “5 Years Ramen Champion” 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 No kidding right? Staff : I love ❤️ how they still have someone who comes by to take your order 📝 rather than scan a QR code 📲 and self-service. We had a lovely lady 👩🏻 who took time to explain 🗣️the difference in broth, noodles and choices. Friendly, polite and the distinctive human touch is what is lagging today in restaurants. #loveit Restaurant – Design to look like a Japan 🇯🇵 Ramen / Noodle 🍜 house. Warm lights 🏮, Japanese team designs 🎏🎎, lots of wood 🪵use in the furniture🪑, open concept cooking 👨🏼🍳 area so the place smells wonderful. Place is super clean 🧼🫧 with servers cleaning as they go! 👍 Food – Ok seriously, I wanted to order everything and try but obviously I can’t. 😒 So, I went for the Kara-Miso Ramen Mouretsu Tnmen Hana-ji Boo (read finish, thirsty lieow 🤣) Basically, means cooked in Miso broth soup base + Black Garlic Oil. Added Tamago, Nori, Miso Mince Pork and Fuufu Enman Gyoza. (See my pics 📸and videos 📹) Their Ramen is indeed very well cooked, superior broth, which is very rich, tasty and uniquely Japanese. ✅✅✅✅ I was transformed back to Japan as I have never had a better bowl here in Singapore 🇸🇬. It was an amazing dining experience! 💥 💯 I will be back to try their Regular Ramen cooking in Pork 🐷 Bone Broth and Burned Garlic 🧄 Oil. So, if you have not tried or are still thinking, trust me, you don’t know what you are missing! 😎 #amazingramen #bestrameninorchardroad
View on GoogleHaven't eaten here in awhile. Glad that the place still exist. Ramen is as authentic as always, really no change on taste, size and standard for almost 10 years,in sg that is quite rare. Didn't catch the original chef today, but totally feels like the first time when patronizing. Hopefully they will stay and continue providing great authentic ramen,as almost all nearby restaurants have changed. Just order the chashu ramen plus pork karaage. You wouldn't need anything else. And yes, plain water is free and freeflow. That's the way it should be.
View on GoogleChashu men. The broth is good, not overly salty and one of the better tonkotsu bases. The toppings, however are just sub par. It is a boring bowl and the chashu is a little dry. One of the chashu has fat which seems unrendered down and was a turn off for me. Noodles were thin hakata type but does not cling to the soup well and has poor wheat flavour.
