Waited for 1.5hrs before going in, but I must say the noodles and mapo tofu are worth the wait!! We had tsukemen, maze soba and 2 of the ramens. Maze soba is great, tsukemen dipping sauce had great umami and the mapo tofu will go really well with a hot bowl of fluffy rice. Saw that there were reviews on bad service but it was okay for our visit! Will definitely come back again!
View on GoogleThe food was great here, but the ventilation can improve. Ordered the cream Crockette, and tonkatsu ramen, gyoza and mapo tofu. All the dishes were well done and super yummy. They were well presented too. Didn’t have to wait too long for a table. But the space was not well ventilated. We left smelling like fried food. Other than that, I would highly recommend trying.
View on GoogleTonkotsu Shoyu ramen ($13.80 for normal, $18.80 for special) was easily one of the nicest in town, reminding me of the bowls I had in Japan! Chashu had the perfect fat to meat ratio and the ramen broth was a flavour bomb, with the richness of the pork bones and the depth of the shoyu making every slurp so delectable! Atmosphere had some room for improvement as it was rather warm, and found it slightly disappointing that water was not complementary.
View on GoogleWas the second dinner batch and had to queue outside the shop for about 45mins till it was our turn. There was a QR code to join the queue but strangely the staff didn’t allow us to scan and we could only register to join the queue from his ipad. Tsukemen dip was salty and went great with the thick noodles, love the chew to the tsukemen noodles too. Kaarage was stellar, do give it a try! Dumplings were mediocre though. As it is an izakaya, all patrons have to order a drink, if you don’t drink alcohol, be ready to pay out of your pocket for a soft drink. Would revisit but would not queue for it again just to have it.
View on GoogleBest ramen in Singapore. You'll taste Chef Koichi Horikawa's 40+ years of japanese culinary finesse. Do go for their 'kotteri ramen' if youre looking for a gao, tasty and full bodied bowl of ramen (many people go there for the Tsukemen but the kotteri ramen is my recommendation). Highly recommended and worth the wait. I will be back every week until my doctor gives me a final warning.
