Had a really great lunch here! The slamon and fish & chips were fresh, crispy outside and juicy inside. The sides were also very delicious, especially the mac & cheese and broccoli. Portion was good and everything was nicely seasoned. Cozy atmosphere and good service too. They even gave out flowers for Mother’s Day, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Will definitely come back again

Visited around 12pm on a weekday. Despite the restaurant being less than half full, there was already a queue, and the service staff were surprisingly slow to seat customers, didn't quite make sense given how empty it was. Once seated, I noticed inconsistency in service. This was my first visit, and while another staff member was actively promoting the new customer promo to a nearby table, the staff who served me didn't mention it at all. Felt a bit like I missed out simply because of who attended to me. The bun that came with my order didn't look appetising, so I skipped it. The grilled chicken chop with onion sauce was the biggest letdown, it came out dripping with oil, to the point I genuinely thought it was fried instead of grilled. I removed the skin thinking that was the source of the oiliness, but the meat underneath was still soaked in oil. It completely killed my appetite, and I could only manage the baked potato on the side (the corn cob was pretty bland too). I also ordered the onion rings, which were glistening and soaked with oil, I couldn't even finish one piece out of the whole basket. On a positive note, the manager did come by to check on the food, and when I gave feedback, he said he'd pass it on to the kitchen, which I appreciated. Overall though, the food quality was a real letdown and the service had some gaps. Might give it one more shot to see if things improve, but not in a rush to return.

Josh Grill is super popular at 313—and for good reason! The Western grills are solid, and the prices are really reasonable for the portion size, especially given it's in Orchard. Think of it as a close cousin to other popular Western chains like Aston's, but with its own vibe. Big tip: come early if you're going for lunch or dinner, because the queue gets long fast during peak hours. One small catch—they charge for ice water (I think it's around $0.50 or $1, can't recall exactly), which is a bit of a bummer, but honestly not a dealbreaker given the overall value. Also worth noting: I didn't see any pork items on the menu, so it appears to be halal-friendly (though you might want to confirm with the staff). Will be back for the grilled chicken!

Love the variety of side dishes at Josh’s Grill. they’re much more unique compared to a typical Western restaurant. I also liked that the sauce was served separately from the chicken, which is great if you’re watching your calorie intake or prefer controlling how much sauce you use. The chicken itself was a little dry, but the complimentary bread and butter served before the meal were a nice touch. Overall, it’s still a solid spot for an affordable Western meal with plenty of side options.

I recently dined at Josh's Grill and had a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. The restaurant had a cozy and lively atmosphere, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family. The grilled meats were definitely the highlight of the meal. Everything was cooked well, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The steak was tender and juicy, while the grilled chicken had a nice smoky flavor that paired perfectly with the sides. The presentation was simple but satisfying, and the overall quality exceeded expectations for the price. A special mention goes to Ruth and Ryan, our server, who did an excellent job throughout the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. Her recommendations were helpful, and she checked in regularly without being intrusive, which really added to the positive dining experience. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Josh's Grill to anyone looking for hearty grilled food, good value, and welcoming service. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
