Recently discovered a quiet and hidden food court at the basement of Orchard Gateway, and it turned out to be a great find. The ordering system is very advanced and convenient — you can simply sit at your table, scan, and order your food online without needing to queue. The whole place is clean, comfortable, and offers a wide variety of Malaysian delicacies. I tried a few dishes, starting with the Claypot Chicken Rice. The portion was very generous for just $10.80, and it came packed with flavorful, well-marinated chicken, Chinese sausage, salted fish and fragrant rice. The highlight for me was definitely the Wan Tan Hor. It had a strong wok hei aroma that really elevated the dish, and the portion was impressively large. The gravy was rich making the whole plate look incredibly satisfying. I also ordered the shredded chicken hor fun soup. The hor fun itself was silky smooth and paired nicely with the savoury broth. However, the soup leaned slightly on the salty side, so I didn’t manage to finish the entire bowl. That said, if you enjoy bolder, saltier flavors, this dish would still be a great choice. Overall, a solid spot for hearty Malaysian food in a relaxed and less crowded setting with affordable price.

If you’re craving authentic Malaysian-style hawker fare, this is a great spot to visit when you’re around the Somerset area. There are plenty of stalls, each offering specialties inspired by popular local dishes. I went for Kampung Nasi Lemak and chose the Nasi Lemak with Ayam Masak Merah — the portion was generous, and the rich gravy paired perfectly with the sambal chili. Definitely planning to return to try more dishes next time!

The selection of food is wide. They claim to be Malaysian type of food but I can't verify the authenticity of the taste for all of them. We had the Bak Kut Teh and yes, it's the non-peppery kind found in Malaysia. And for the price, they are generous with the meat portion. The nasi lemak rice is not as flavourful but they do have the cuttlefish and cockles. I found it a bit too spicy. Price wise the nasi lemak was quite expensive. Not easy to find a table during lunch time, so best to go slightly earlier or later.

This is a foodcourt with cafe prices. Just wanted to say the cleaning uncle and aunty are super nice! Ipoh horfun is approved by an ipoh local. I would say its a bit less fragrant then the ones in ipoh but it was still very good, not too sweet with perfectly textured noodles. Would go back for this. So far the best ipoh horfun ive tried in sg. Recommended. Kl hkm is a tad too sweet for my liking. But pretty good and maybe one of the better ones in sg. Pork noodles - please avoid. Way too oily to the point it makes it hard to eat and the cook was very unpleasant. Do not recommend.

This is the best Ipoh Hor Fun I’ve had outside of Ipoh! 🤩 The soup has such a rich and flavorful broth that I even finish the soup every single time. It comes with 5 peeled prawns, and the hor fun is soft and just the right texture. I’ve actually revisited this place multiple times just for the hor fun. Definitely a must-try if you love Ipoh Hor Fun! 🍜🦐
