Had a wonderful lunch at Tora San, United Square. From fresh sashimi dons to hearty Japanese donburis, every bowl was tasty, satisfying, and made with quality ingredients. The grilled meats were perfectly cooked, tender, and delicious. A great value-added touch is that every meal set comes with soup, salad, and dessert. I also loved the quality free-flow hot green tea, which paired perfectly with the meal. Despite the busy lunch crowd, the staff remained friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout. Thumbs up for both food and service! Definitely a great choice when craving authentic Japanese cuisine. #ToraSan #UnitedSquare #JapaneseFood #Donburi #SashimiDon #JapaneseCuisine #FoodieSingapore #LunchSpot #FreshSashimi #GrilledMeat #GreenTea #SingaporeEats #HighlyRecommended

Interiors are good though the tables are just-fit design. Can manage. Japanese pop music apt. Crockery were good and had same patterns. Cool. The presentation of the food was okay. But felt the bowl was toooo much just-fit making it not a comfortable to experience. They could have used a bit bigger bowl. Food quantity was a bit less than what I would expect for the price. Food quality was okay. Would expect more. Their lunch deal is well packaged has dessert too!! Service was good.

The Chirashi Don was a mountain of fresh ingredients—a colorful mix of diced sashimi piled high with shredded crab meat & glistening ikura. The Unagi (freshwater eel) + Anago (saltwater eel) was equally spectacular & beautifully caramelized, topped with a rich onsen egg. Huge portions, fresh flavors. Chef & staff are friendly (:

10/06/2026: Ordered the signature chirashi don today. The sashimi is still great, but rice a bit too watery and clumpy today. --------------- Food is good, service is excellent as well! Wiped the bowl clean...

I don't like to give 1-star reviews, esp. when the staff is nice but unfortunately I had high expectations from the other reviews yet my own experience pales in comparison. I ordered the premium chirashi don ($39.9++) but the only thing premium about it was the price because everything about it was so poor, esp. the quality of the food. Honestly, other typical Japanese restaurants in SG or even Don Don Donki serve much better sashimi than what I got. Even for common fish like salmon and tuna, the colour was lacklustre, the texture was dry and taste was meh. Perhaps the lunch sets would be much more worthwhile, but there are so many places to eat in SG (even in United Square or around Novena) that I don't see myself coming back here.
