To the owner of Rong Wantan Noodle, Your brand and reputation is going down the drain due to this particular branch’s food quality. Today my wife and I took an opportunity to try the famous Rong Wantan Noodle and we ordered two signature bowls for lunch. The moment we took our first bite we were shocked with despair as noodles were way too overcooked and I could not have myself taking another bite. I then brought it to your staff who cooked and told him it needs to be redone as polite as I could. Your staff then looked at me fiercely and started cooking the noodles but then he started throwing his ladle and chopsticks around to indirectly demonstrate his anger towards me. What an attitude and I am lost with words at this point in time. In my honest opinion, your staff needs to be re-trained or replaced to save your business. Please do look at other people’s reviews as they too shared same feedback as mine for noodles being overcooked.
View on GoogleA few small differences from the main Tanjong Katong branch—the noodles here were slightly overcooked and clumpy, with less soy sauce, which made them feel a bit dry after mixing in the chilli. The large portion in the photo is without char siew, as theirs tends to be on the dry side with hardly any caramelised char. The steamed and fried wantons, however, were both good and paired nicely with the noodles. I still enjoy their noodles overall—mainly because of their chilli sauce, which is fiery and much stronger than most other wanton mee stalls.
View on GoogleJust bought it for lunch . The fried wonton had so many black stuff stucked on it . Seems like they never change the oil continue using. I don’t dare eat but my son didn’t realized and ate a few pieces . 😰
View on GoogleRong Wantan Mee delivers a familiar taste that closely mirrors the iconic Eng’s Wanton Mee, leaving you wondering if there’s still a connection after the legal disputes. The fried and soup wantons are the stars here. The fried wantons are golden and crispy, with a satisfying crunch that gives way to a juicy, well-seasoned pork filling. Meanwhile, the soup wantons are delicate and tender, floating in a light broth. Adding to the experience is the ultra-spicy chili sauce, which packs the same fiery punch and also that pork lard bits that fans of Eng’s will recognize and love.
View on GoogleGood char siew, vegetables and noodles. Shame you automatically put in a plastic straw before I was able to say I didn’t want a straw. Don’t offer straws to be more environmentally friendly. We went in the evening when it was cooler and quieter
