Food cost were expected from a Novena restaurant pricing. Ordered the Nasi Goreng Ayam, Ayam Goreng Bawang Putih, and Tahu Cabe Garam for 2 person to share. Portion was decent, the fried chicken was tasty including the skin. Chilli provided was the fragrant spicy indo type, good if you need that kick. The Nasi Goreng Ayam rice texture did not meet expectations, the grains felt abit moist and soft, though it might be a different type of fried rice standards. I personally enjoyed the fried tahu with salty savoury condiment bits on top. Service was average, staff was smiling quite abit so it was pleasant. Ambience was nice to be immersed in decorations and design through the store.
View on GoogleThe menu choice limited, the chicken is only thigh meat so it’s skipped. The rendang is okay but not as flavourful at other place. The good one is squid with smelly beans and sayur asem soup, lotek is decent . Pesmol fish a bit saltish but skip the toufu asam garam dish. The rice though comes in very very small portion, which is strange. Overall, for indonesian food, it’s so so but have some nice dishes
View on GoogleThe ads appeared through IG and decided to try. Came here two days in a row. Overall have tried following from the menu: - Ikan Pesmol 🌟 Highly recommended, it’s deep fried fish simmered with yellow sauce. - Ayam Goreng Serundeng 🌟 Fried chicken with fried shredded coconut served with rice. Chicken well marinated. - Iga Garang Asam Spicy and sour beef soup, the soup quite oily which probably came from the beef itself. Generous serving of beef. - Lotek 🌟 Similar like gado-gado but Sundanese version. - Cumi Asin Pedas 🌟 Ordered more than 1 portion. It’s a salted baby squid cooked with petai, chili, shallots and garlic. - Nasi Goreng Ikan Jambal 🌟 Authentic Indonesian fried rice with wok hey taste. Generous serving of salted fish. - Ayam Goreng Bawang Putih Fried chicken with deep fried garlic. However unable to taste the garlic. And the fried garlic is not so fragrant. - Bandeng Presto Moderate serving of milk fish cooked in pressure cooker so bones are edible. Surprisingly the fish is not fishy. - Sayur Asem Sour sweet Indonesian soup however it’s a bit too sweet and unable to taste the sour hint. - Ice Cendol 🌟 Not typical Cendol in Singapore. The Cendol has chewy texture. - Bubur Sumsum Madurese dessert made by rice flour in coconut milk and served palm sugar. So far this is the closest taste I can get in Singapore for Sundanese food with reasonable price. Keep up the good work! Will definitely come back again. (Side note, they have another shop under Indorica at 313 food court with different cooking style)
View on GoogleWent with my partner after our gym session at 8pm on a weekday There’s this set meal $10.90 for selected rice dishes + Soup + Ice Lemon Tea so we took the sets. Had fried rice and garlic chicken which we both liked alot. Soup wise so-so it’s an acquired taste. Note the soup bowl size is very petite (you ain’t getting a big bowl size like in the pictures in menu). Overall decent food at affordable price.
View on GoogleReally authentic and delicious Indonesian food! The Ayam Goreng Surendeng is fried to crispy perfection on the outside and tender on the inside. The ox tail meet from the Sup Buntut and the beef in the Iga Garang Asam were both super soft, fatty and flavorful! Nasi Goreng Ayam isn’t on the menu but highly recommend ordering it - one of the best fried rice I’ve ever had! Absolutely recommend this place for your Indonesian cuisine fix!
