This is my second trip to A-roy Thai at Novena. Truthfully, this place served true blue authentic Siam food, i.e. more on the spicy side. The crispy and delicious prawn cake is a must. Fish was fresh and sedak. Curry was solid. The pork jowl is succulent and tasty. Chicken wing was fat and juicy, not the usual small small fillings. The Tom Yum is typical. We ordered the clear one and it almost brought us back to Thailand. You may not see the usual Sanook and Nakhon the same way after trying out at A-roy. Shant say more. Paid S$160.70 for the second visit. Can't remember how much for the first time.

Their cashew nut with chicken , mango salad, clear Tom yum soup and cracker (we add one more bowl) pair so well with the green chilli as very addictive. Their must order dessert is the tapioca with coconut milk. Their steam squid in lime soup, omelette with cai po and veg kang lan can give it a miss. Overall the food is nice.

Had thai food here in 2019 and now 2026. The food is still as good as I remembered. Tastes really good for thai food standard in Singapore. Tomyum soup was spicy but not choking. Love the prawn cake - suggest to just get 1 and share so you can eat more dishes. Love the veg too, very crunchy. Only complaint is the chicken that came with the pineapple fried rice was underwhelming. Other than that, will be back when I am nearby.

Food tasted like authentic Thai. Was good. However, my elderly parent found some dishes on the more spicy side; no sight of chilli padi but likely it was used. Wife and I were fine with the spicy level though

came here after a friend recommended it to us and honestly this place ended up being a really enjoyable thai food spot overall visited on a thursday evening and surprisingly the restaurant was pretty empty which made the whole dining experience feel quite relaxed and comfortable we started with the papaya salad which was really refreshing as a first dish and helped open up the appetite nicely. personally though, i think i would try the mango salad next time instead for mains, we tried the thai boat noodles with pork and i really enjoyed the soup together with the noodle texture. the broth was flavourful without being too salty which i appreciated, but the pork itself was unfortunately a bit tough the signature pad thai was definitely one of the better dishes for me. the noodle texture was done really nicely and the pork paired well with it too. portion size was also huge so this is perfect for sharing among a few people one dish that disappointed me though was the bbq squid. this was recommended to us so i had pretty high expectations, but the squid ended up being quite chewy and didn’t have much flavour unless dipped into the chilli sauce the absolute star of the meal was definitely the thai green curry chicken. honestly it may not look the most appetising at first glance but the curry itself was sooo good with just the right level of spice, and the chicken was super tender too. genuinely the dish i would come back for we also got the pandan chicken which sadly was a miss for me because the chicken was quite dry overall. on the other hand, the thai omelette was soooo sinful but incredibly good and one of the highlights too another memorable dish was the seafood otah which not only looked really pretty presentation wise, but the fish itself was soft and paired really nicely with the slightly spicy sauce for drinks, the thai green tea and thai milk tea were both really enjoyable and i personally preferred them over the lemongrass drink overall, i think a-roy thai is definitely worth visiting if you’re craving thai food because they have a really wide variety of dishes to choose from. just make sure to order the green curry because that was genuinely the standout dish for me hehe
