Tried their prawn noodles instead of lor mee and surprisingly good. Thick, rich prawn soup which tasted so flavorful. Fresh big prawn given and thick pork slices given. Portion smaller than usual, petite eater like me just perfect. Thou prices are slightly higher than typical bowl of prawn noodles but I guess it’s worth it.
View on GoogleFor the price I have slightly higher expectations Didn’t wow me The braised gravy is ok but not fantastic The usual variety of ingredients ie. fish flakes, braised meat, egg. No complaint, fresh and savoury. Although it is a restaurant on its own, but don’t expect any service. Everything is self service. Aircon or fan wasn’t exactly comforting in the afternoon Still can try if you are around the vicinity But I will go for the hawker ones like Ma Po Lor Mee. A lot Cheaper, can add more ingredients and maybe still cost lesser
View on GoogleI’ve been patronising this new branch since it opened instead of their original stall at Old Airport Road Hawker Centre. Sadly, the quality has gone downhill. The Lor Mee no longer has the signature thick, flavourful gravy – it’s now watery and bland. The taste feels average at best, yet the price has gone up, making it just an expensive, forgettable bowl of Lor Mee. I couldn’t even finish a small bowl. Really miss their old taste and standard.
View on GoogleTried a few dishes here, and while some were enjoyable, others didn’t quite justify the price. 🔹 Salt & Pepper Mushroom – This was a pleasant surprise! Well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, and retaining that juicy mushroom texture inside. A great snack to start with. 🔹Fried Wanton – Another good pick. Nicely fried with a satisfying crunch and a tasty filling. Simple but done right. 🔹 Lor Mee – My first time trying it here, and while it had the typical flavor you’d expect, there was nothing particularly outstanding. At $9.90 for a large, it felt overpriced for a rather standard bowl. 🔹 3-in-1 Prawn Noodle – A letdown. The broth leaned on the saltier side, and at $9.90, I expected more. Instead, it came with just a few sad pieces of prawn and meat, making it not worth the money. 🔹 Pricing & Value – The food here is on the pricier side, and while some dishes, like the salt & pepper mushrooms and wanton, were enjoyable, others didn’t quite live up to expectations.
View on GoogleTried both the Lor Mee and Prawn Mee at a local hawker spot. Both dishes were satisfying—well-executed with familiar flavors, but nothing that stands out as exceptional. • Lor Mee: The gravy was thick and flavorful, with the usual garlic and vinegar kick, but lacked that extra depth or fragrance to make it memorable. • Prawn Mee: Broth had decent umami, prawns were fresh enough, but overall, it didn’t quite hit the richness mark that great prawn mee is known for. Portion sizes were just right—not overly generous, but not stingy either. Prices were fair for the quality and serving. Rating: 3/5 – A solid, dependable choice when you’re in the mood for something familiar, but don’t expect fireworks.
