Wanted to try a little premium chicken rice than those in the hawker centres or highly recommended ones. Overall the food is good. May I ordered roasted chicken set so the meat is abit rough. Perhaps the white chicken will be better. But the portion, fragrance of the rice and chilli were good. But the rice abit on salty end for me. The soup was also at the salty end for me. The ambience is good very pleasant. The barely drink is homemade, is good not that sweet also. Taste like mama brewed. Definitely better than the tian tian chicken rice that was highly recommended. But it has GST charged. Maybe next time to try the white chicken to see if I could give more * to this shop.

My wife and I are chicken rice enthusiasts, so we’re always hunting for the best around Singapore. The service here was great, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. There’s convenient parking at the mall, and it’s just a short walk to the restaurant. While the chicken rice wasn’t quite as fabulous as some of the top spots we’ve tried, it’s still a solid and enjoyable place to experience this local dish.

20 years no come. Was nearby today. Renovated but still have the old touch. Served nolstagic style chicken rice. Rice is cooked just right but portion, I think I need 2 bowls. Chicken is tender. Veg with hint of wasabi taste good. Ladyboss still very pretty and friendly. Staffs are friendly and helpful too. At least they willing to take orders rather than asking customers to scan QR order. Enjoyed the dinner there. Hope to be back more often.

Generally a hot tourist spot for very authentic and local chicken rice. Prices are of course on the higher end, and it includes GST as well. One single pax plate of chicken rice will set you back about $10 but well worth it to satisfy your chicken rice craving. The roasted chicken is the highlight for me. Skin has that slightly caramelised look and the meat is tender enough, especially when paired with their dark soy drizzle and chilli. The rice is fragrant and savoury, which is honestly the real test for any chicken rice place. The set meals are quite satisfying too since they usually come with veggies and soup, so it feels like a complete comfort meal rather than just a quick plate of chicken rice. Menu is also extensive and includes noodles, roast pork, char siew and other side dishes. Really feels like a zi char place as well!

Delicious Chicken Rice at Loy Kee! Super tender chicken, love it. The chilli sauce is also on point. Classic watercress soup and traditional brew in claypot. Comfortable ambience and service was prompt and well trained.
