I was won over by the overall positive reviews and decided to try the green curry fried rice. While the quantity of rice was massive, the taste was quite unbalanced. It was too much coconut milk and too little curry paste. Also lacking were the typical sliced fruit/seasoning present in green curry. The dish did come with a decent amount of chicken and egg, although the latter was in too small shreds to give satisfaction. I would probably visit again, but try something else.
View on GoogleAuthentic Siam at Whampoa Hawker (#01-79) is truly the real hidden gem! I stopped by for dinner and chanced upon this stall, and I’m so glad I did. The auntie is incredibly friendly, and you can immediately feel the warmth and pride she puts into her food. I ordered the Tom Yum fried rice, fried garlic pork, and noodles — all three dishes were super tasty and packed with flavour. The Tom Yum fried rice had just the right balance of spice and tang, the fried garlic pork was fragrant and tender, and the noodles were comforting and well-seasoned. On top of that, the portions were really generous, making it great value for money. Definitely one of the best Thai food finds in the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious, authentic Thai dishes in a hawker setting! 🌶️🍛✨
View on GoogleGotta try their basil fried pork with egg. It’s the classic Thai street food go-to dish when evaluating how authentic a place is. The portion is generous, and there’s plenty of extra sauce to go with your rice. The extra condiments add texture and depth --- really complementing the dish: savoury pork floss, smoky fried shallots, and crushed peanuts with just a hint of sugar. It’s just like being back in Bangkok, but better!
View on GoogleUsed to frequent here a couple years ago. To day the food still taste the same and very generous serving. Ordered thai mama mee chicken but was given prawns instead. The lime zest abit too much but overall still good. If only vegetables can be added will be even great.
View on GoogleNice Thai food with generous serving and affordable price. One of the best pad Thai I had in a hawker Center. Add the chilli flakes for that added kick and flavour. Pineapple rice is nice but not as consistent as pad Thai. Also provided condiments at the side so you can fine tune your taste. New item Mupin pork skewer is delicious as well. One thai aunty cooking order by order so be patient.
