Not bad. Can eat. Ordered black one. Sweet sauce was very very sweet. Wonder what brand of seeet sauce they use as they should change the brand and taste will be up to par. Egg is very little as mixed with other orders. Chilli was nice. Fast and friendly service.

This is a late post from lunch about 2 months ago at Whampoa Market. Had to take another trip down to take a picture of the stall as I only took the picture of the fried carrot cake dish previously 😆 Apparently, they are from 724 AMK Market previously. Afraid I am not familiar with them though. The dish was decent - what you would expect from fried carrot cake. Not that it was bad or anything, but I just did not find it extraordinary. Will I come back again? Yes, of couse!

18/August/2025 Had white fried carrot cake ($3) for lunch, taste was normal, portion served was reasonably generous.

Tried this at Ang Mo Kio Central and remembered it being much better back then. It used to be fried by a tall guy with a straight face and a dry sense of humor but didn’t see him around this time. Not sure if the business has changed hands, but the dish today lacked the crispiness and flavour it once had.

The texture is good but taste wise it’s ok. With a little bit more flavour like fish sauce and some sugar and better tasting sweet cai por, it would be great.
