The very rare restaurant that has a bigger title than their signboard. Attracted by local delights before I spot 188 Cafe, this tells that they value their food and dishes over fame. Anyway I was introduced to this by a friend who enjoys his nightlife and this happens to be their monthly supper spot. Besides Bak Kut Teh of the choice between pepper and herbal, they serves chicken rice, prawn mee and even Tze char! Oh yes they serve drinks if you need! We went for the Herbal BKT and the sides to go along. It was surprisingly decent! Definitely a treat for a dull Tuesday Lunch. Pork ribs were tender, you could slide it off the bone easily. Sides were definitely not the usual mediocre go-alongs, they took pride in making it good and place em on their top 8 recommendations list.

Decent bowl of bkt and it’s not too peppery which makes it easy to drink. Price I feel is affordable too! Not sure why but it’s pretty empty during dinner time.

Ordered the clay pot fish head, big portion bak kut teh and the sesame chicken. Taste in the average side. Claypot fish head is good, thick and flavorful gravy. Bak Kut Teh not as good as I thought. Soup a bit dilute. Sesame chicken too salty. Overall, looks like an air conditioned kopitiam / food court but they charge service charge and GST.

I ordered chicken rice but was served mostly fried chicken skin in batter instead of actual chicken meat. That’s misleading and unacceptable. What made it worse is that I felt sick the next morning (stomach pain and diarrhea), which raises serious concerns about food quality and hygiene. Very disappointing experience. I would not come back.
