I had the chicken fried noodles, it was delicious and the chicken was cooked perfectly! We did the $10 medium portion and it was good sized but we needed another dish to feed 2 people. It came out really fast and they were very nice! They also take credit card.

AVOID. Newton Food centre on a Sunday evening was soooo busy, I wanted to the Heng Carrot Cake but it had at least a 30min wait, and I wasn’t prepared to wait that long for a takeaway. I decided (wrongly) to try Yong Seng as there wasn’t a queue. Rookie error. Food quantity and ingredients were fine, but everything else, the oily vegetables (Kai-lang), and beef kway-teo, was strangely under seasoned, and the balance was way-off. Nice to get takeaway chilli, but it couldn’t save the lacklustre taste of the dishes.

Just had a bowl of mixed beef soup and it was flavourful and satisfying for $6, chockful of mixed beef ingredients and bean sprouts and Chinese parsley. Had a taste of the beef fried rice which was good and was not oily. Think the old 2.3 rating needs a re-think. Shared a table with an Englishman visiting for the first time and he commented he was happy with his order of fried noodles and fried chicken wings which looked very delicious to me.
