I had their Signature XO minced meat noodles (medium) for lunch on Sunday at 1pm. The soup was flavourful and peppery; noodles were perfectly al dente. I had to add a bit more chilli and vinegar to the noodles but that’s just me. Overall a satisfying meal. I would eat this if I’m here but I won’t drive here just for this.

Sole noodle shop open at late wee hours. Ingredient portion above average, but noodle portion shrank over the years. Minced Meat Noodles $5,6,7 Fishball Noodles $5, 6 Meatball Noidles $5,6,7 Laksa $6,7 - Fried wantons have barely any meat. - Unresponsive uncle.

The bak chor mee here is pretty average, portions are quite good. The fried wonton are alright as well. It’s nothing too spectacular, just alright.

Everyone makes a big deal about the rude uncle, but he’s just not very talkative. He cares about giving you your food. I’ve eaten at this stall probably 50 times and love the handmade meatball noodle (#2 which goes great with avocado juice from the stall a couple stalls to the left of it). Uncle recognizes me and makes it on the spot without saying a word. It’s his way of showing approval. You just need to work hard to gain uncle’s approval. I left Singapore some months ago, and I miss all the aunties and uncles who work there.
