⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ R&B Express, Stall No. 76, Newton Food Centre — 5/5 We had a really good experience at R&B Express, Stall No. 76 at Newton Food Centre. We ordered the chicken wings, and they were genuinely one of the best things we have eaten in Singapore so far. The wings were juicy, tender and packed with flavour, with a delicious charcoal-grilled, slightly smoky and charred flavour that really stood out. Unlike some of the other Singaporean dishes we had tried, which felt a little bland for our taste, these chicken wings had a strong and satisfying flavour. The spicy, tangy chilli-lemon sauce served with the wings was the real game changer. It had a lovely lemony tang and a good spicy kick. Dipping the smoky chicken wings into the sauce completely transformed the taste and made every bite even better. The combination of the charcoal flavour, juicy chicken and spicy-tangy sauce was fantastic. Another great thing is that the queue is usually quite short and the crowd is not too heavy, so you can easily come, order, eat and leave without spending a long time waiting. The stall generally opens around 5:30–6:00 PM, making it a great evening option if you want to avoid a huge crowd. No wonder R&B Express has the Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition — it definitely sticks to its name and deserves the recognition. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Singapore, especially if you are at Newton Food Centre. I would definitely come back again just for these chicken wings! 5/5 ⭐️ — Absolutely delicious and highly recommended!
View on GoogleDelicious satay sticks and chicken wings from R&B Express in Newton Food Centre. The mix plate of satay sticks was well marinated with the char flavour from the coals. BBQ Chicken wings was also beautifully seasoned. A generous serving of peanut sauce and chilli sauce was also included. It’s no wonder this place has a Michelin Bib Gourmand.
View on GoogleMichelin 2024 & 2025 winner. Sells Satay and grilled chicken wings. Newton Hawker Centre location (self-service outlet). Store ran by a man & a woman. The satay is slightly dried and smaller. Wee too sweet for me. The chicken wings were too charred at some places. The order (thingy) broke and did not buzz. I think other stalls could be better (food and experience).
View on GoogleMeaty, juicy, and flavourful! This deserves all the hype. It's the best thing we had in the Newton food center after trying out 6 different stalls. Absolutely worth it!
View on GoogleMichelin guide restaurant most notable for their chicken wings. They serve chicken wings with a tangy and lime sauce, chicken / beef / lamb satay skewers with peanut sauce, and popiah. I would only come back to share a beer and eat with friends. To be honest, nothing stood out to me. The satay skewers were good but the meat could be seasoned a little better – the peanut sauce carried the flavor making the meat sweet and peanuty. The chicken wings alone tasted like regular rotisserie chicken seasoned only with salt – the lime spicy sauce provided adds the flavor kick to the chicken.
