Actually thought this was a very solid plate. You have to come early if not the good stuff is gone. Would say by 1230++ things start to disappear from options window Reasonably priced and solid flavour . Both curry and blachan nice flavour. Fried chicken they need to have a better control of cooking it’s a little dry. Sambal goreng was ok and ikan bilis was nice Auntie and uncle seem friendly enough Line gets about 5+ people long by 12pm ++

Finally tried the nasi padang from the stall, and it's okay. It's not mind blowing, it's not bad. For the price point paid, vs the portions and taste, it's a very okay hawker stall. The queues though, are always damn long because there are not many other Muslim food stalls that are open for lunch time here at Newton. Got the beef rendang, bergedil, sayur lodeh, lady fingers, and a sunny side up. Huge packet of rice, for only 5.70. Pretty good value for money. Auntie and uncle are also nice enough and friendly, which honestly is a huge plus for the experience.

Ordered the Nasi Lemak Chicken Wing $4. Came with rice, chicken wing, fried egg, ikan billis, 2 cucumber slices, and sambal sauce. Pretty standard. Rice very light on the Lemak. Could not taste chicken marination but outside was flavoured ok. Not crispy when I had it, even at 12pm noon. Sambal is on the sweet and salty side, and not much depth. There are probably plenty of tastier things in Newton, but will be difficult to beat the price here.

the best nasi padang store ever…. auntie and uncle also always v nice always give extra portion… u’ll never go to another one after this!!

Food taste & price good. But service very slow had to wait quite long to be served.
