Felt that the drinks are overly priced compared to other stores. $14.70 for 2 large cups of drinks while the other store charges $10.50 for the same. Felt cheated but now that we know, we’ll keep in mind to not patronise them again.

While Newton Food Centre is known for its vibrant energy, my experience with Beloved Aroma Cafe was unfortunately defined by unwarranted aggression and intrusive service. ​From the moment we sat down, the staff attempted to "claim" our table by immediately placing laminated menus in front of us—a territorial move that felt more like a demand than a gesture of service. Despite clearly stating we would order food first, we were subjected to constant "eyeballing" and repeated interruptions throughout our meal. The refusal to respect boundaries, even after we declined drinks multiple times, created a distinctly uncomfortable atmosphere. ​When my family eventually relented and ordered a sugarcane and a plum juice, the quality was as disappointing as the service. The plum juice was cloyingly sweet, and the sugarcane lacked the crisp, natural freshness found at neighboring stalls. We ended up sourcing our soursop drink elsewhere, only to be met with glares for the remainder of our stay. If you value a peaceful meal without being hovered over by overbearing touts, I strongly suggest choosing a different seating area or avoiding this stall altogether.

Why is the small one priced at $3 and the large one $8.50 if the large one is 2x the volume of the small one? Talked to the uncle and he had some nonsensical reason “I increase the price by 50c every year”. Excuse me how does that explain anything? Nobody expects the large drink to cost 3x the price of the small, I’m sorry this is extremely ridiculous. I usually get drinks from here in the normal size and when they casually asked if I wanted the big one, I said ok. Was not expecting this bullshit. NEVER AGAIN.

1 cup of lemon tea cost $8.50. Avoid this stall at all cost!!!
