We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Waitress was wonderful in suggesting food portions. The kitchen was generous enough to serve us chicken drumlets while preparing our mega tomahawk. The meat was perfectly medium rare. The mash and little veg that came along complemented the meats. Would have been nice if the veg portion was more. The accompanying condiments/sauces were all wonderful. Drinks paired well with our main. Ambience was great. Cherry on the cake was a fuss free ablution and prayer space available. Wonderful dining experience here.

Exceptional Dining and World-Class Service I visited The Malayan Council (Winstedt) for a solo afternoon lunch, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. The venue itself is beautiful—housed in a gorgeous, exclusive colonial black-and-white heritage building with elegant chandeliers and a premium boutique manor vibe. It provides a truly peaceful, upscale sanctuary. The food was spectacular. I ordered the Seared Salmon, which was cooked to absolute perfection with crisp skin and a rich, velvety cream sauce that had a wonderful touch of chili flakes. The soup was equally delicious, and the famous Ondeh-Ondeh cake was the perfect finale—incredibly rich, thick, and bursting with authentic Gula Melaka flavor. What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the heartwarming hospitality. A special commendation goes to Jennie, the wonderful server who looked after me. She was exceptionally professional, sweet, and attentive, ensuring I felt thoroughly welcomed and looked after throughout my meal. She is an absolute asset to the establishment and embodies the gold standard of hospitality! Thank you for pampering me 🥰🥰🥰👑👑👑 You are an Angel If you appreciate premium local-fusion cuisine, beautiful surroundings, and excellent service, this hidden gem is highly recommended. I will definitely be back!

Visited on 11th June around 7.30pm for a birthday celebration. The food was great! The waitress (forgot to note her name) helped us with choosing what food to order. Her recommendations were top notch! Really great service and the ambience was really quiet. Great for a romantic dinner or a small group gathering. My husband, my friends, and I had a great time!

Interesting fusion of Malay/Western. Tried the satay - nicely done with rich peanut sauce. Sup kambing was a wee dilute and lacked the spicy oomph. Crab linguine (mee) goreng was nicely done with a thick spicy gravy topped with a soft shelled crab. Beef Wellington was delicious with a thin pastry surrounding a well-cooked medium-done thick slab of beef. Except tge seasonal veg looked rather feeble & weak. Durian pengat had a smooth creamy aromatic durian puree on a durian sponge with a side of ice cream. Heavenly. Service was as good as it gets, with only 1 server taking orders, serving dishes, clearing plates, topping up requests and still singing birthday songs for almost EVERY table that evening! (We must be the only ones NOT celebrating birthday!) Kudos to Hakim. Good dinner, interesting spread, tasty concepts. A wee on the pricey side for some dishes.

We came in 14th June and it wasnt pack yet. In fact, we are the only ones there. Felt like we took the whole reservation.. hahah.. Was served nicely by Iman and Mak Hannah who was very chatty and friendly. I don't feel like a customer or guest at all. It felt like a family atmosphere. It was our 1st time there and from the moment we step inside till we end our dessert, it was all a top ten service! No problem with carpark spaces or crowd. Definitely the best place to go to for couples or big group. Recommended by me..! Look at their big portion also, juz ensure you don't order too much..
