Visited Sushiro recently and the food was generally okay for the price point. There’s quite a good variety to choose from, and the ordering system is straightforward since it’s mostly self-service. We also got a pretty good seat with a nice view, which made the experience more enjoyable. It was quite fun eating while car spotting 🤭 Service-wise, there’s not much to comment on because most interactions are automated. One thing to note is the waiting time. We had to wait around 30 minutes for a table, though I guess it depends on the crowd and peak hours. Overall, a decent spot if you’re craving convenient and affordable sushi 🍣

Located in the heart of the orchard shopping strip, Sushiro is an affordable sushi train. Food was decent for the price. Happened to try the pumpkin tempura which was quite good as well. Service was efficient and we were out pretty quickly to continue our shopping.

Ordered Aburi Wild Yellowtail with soy sauce and it came unrecognized, even asked staff member and he confirmed that the well done cooked fish served is the Aburi Wild Yellowtail with soy sauce. Most of the sushi came with sushi rice not properly made. The Young yellowtail sushi served with very thin sliced compared to other Sushiro branches. When asked for order that had been made wrong staff member took the wrong order and never come back. When asked again during payment staff member replied that they did not charge for the wrong sushi served (ofc I didn’t consume and staff member took them back). Service charge of 10% for everything self-service from taking queue from kiosk, get a table from kiosk, seat yourself, getting drinks (the green tea power is chargeable) and payment at self-service kiosk.

This is not the first time I patronise sushiro. I visited this outlet as we went outing nearby. To my surprise, the whole experience seems so different from other outlets. There were approx. 4-5 staffs (didnt count), 2 were very pro-active but there were staffs standing there don't know what to do. And I supposed there should be greetings which i always see this practise from other outlets. It seems like a food court to me, in a chaos. Upon checking in, a male staff asked me what language i speaks (in english) in quite a loud tone as he did not understand what i said. He asked if I speak Japanese, English or Chinese? If Japanese i will get my colleague to help. This is so embarrassing when there are so many people around! Hey! I AM SPEAKING ENGLISH! Hygiene standards i shall not elaborate more. A jap "restaurant" with this kind of "foodcourt" cleanliness, I am dumbfounded. Need to call for staff to reclean before we are obliged to sit in. So much more to our dismay. My favourite is Maguro, and so I ordered a few in one go. Not only the taste seems bland, wet, there were one of the plate which two pieces looks different! Saving cost using other fish? Last but not least, safety. Look at the picture of the booster seat, it is damaged with SHARP EDGES! What is babies moves too fast and got scratched by it? Please do something! This will not be the outlet I will patronise if I am going to fulfill my cravings at Sushiro.

Quiet location yet easily accessible via Orchard MRT exit towards Shaw House. Take the escalator to level 3 and then turn right to get to the outlet. During non-peak hours, there are plenty and seats and you can easily walk in without requiring a reservation with no waiting time (e.g., before 5PM). Food wise, there is a large selection and you just order via the tablet provided. Fuss free experience!
