Went to Shimbashi quite randomly on a Friday night. Wasn't really expecting too much. We ordered 2 set meals. I find that the soba is quite lacking in flavor. It tastes really sharp and clean, but that's just about it. I also found it weird that the tempura was served after the set was brought out for about 5 minutes. Besides that,I love the attentiveness of the staff since we have our baby with us. There might be other restaurants in Paragon for a punch of a flavor, but for me, this restaurant gets 4 stars.

Visited Shimbashi Soba in Paragon, located in the basement, after noticing a queue outside, so naturally expectations were a little higher. The soba itself was decent but not memorable. Texture was acceptable and the broth was balanced, but overall it didn’t quite stand out. I’ve definitely had better soba elsewhere — more fragrant buckwheat flavour and firmer bite. Given the crowd, I was expecting something more impressive. It’s not bad, just not something I would specifically queue for again. Overall: Okay experience, but not exceptional.

Been here many times and honestly, its a must drop by whenever im at Paragon. Even if I have already eaten, I will still make my way here.. that shows how much I love it. Their cold soba is my go-to every single time. Super refreshing, clean flavours, and just very satisfying. Shoutout to one of the male staff who kindly reminded me to use my vouchers in their app before they expired.. really appreciated that small but thoughtful gesture. Service like this makes a difference. Consistent food, comforting spot, and service that feels genuine. Definitely a place I will keep coming back to.

I've been coming here since the last few years and the food remains excellent as always. The steak was just right and the tempura was not oily or heavy. A special mention for James (staff member) who was super professional and polite. It was a super busy dinner dinner and he was actively scanning the guests and attending to them like a champ! Easily one of my favorite places in Orchard

Long queue always but fast moving. Try their signature Yuzu buckwheat noodles set with Tempura. Serve Soba broth ( water used to cook the soba ) in a teapot to finish the meal. Craving after watching K Foodie meets J Foodie Netflix 2025. Oiishi!
