First time trying this place after hearing about it for a long time. We arrived at 12pm and were shown to our table immediately. The two male staff members were very friendly and attentive. The creamy seafood tom yum soup was flavourful and came with plenty of ingredients. The portion was generous too. The crab fried rice tasted okay, though I wish the portion had been slightly bigger. The fried chicken skin was crispy and tasted good. The fried pork belly had a good balance of fat and meat and was okay. Overall, the Thai food was decent, and the prices were reasonable. If you’re nearby, it’s worth giving it a try.

I never thought to put beef in tom yum soup, but it was actually really nice. The spice level was just right and not too overwhelming. We also had the mixed vegetables and fried chicken, which were both yummy and well-prepared. Everything here is very affordable, so it is no surprise the restaurant gets crowded so fast. Definitely a popular spot for a simple, satisfying meal!

Lunch was at Korat Thai, tucked away in a corner of Orchard Towers on the 3rd floor. The small sitting area was crowded when I arrived for a late lunch at 130pm on a Saturday, indicating the popularity of the eatery. My family tried the Korat Krap Fiesta Set Meal, priced at $78, recommended for 3 to 4 pax and comprises of: 1. Sour Plum Minced Pork Soup 2. Yellow Curry Crab Meat 3. Chicken Wing Zaab 4. Basil Beef Slice 5. Crab Fried Rice 6. Mango Sticky Rice Each dish was flavourful and delicious, not overly spicy. The set was well priced for the given portions and variety, definitely worth a try if you are in the area! A budget meal in Orchard! Service was quick and friendly too. Had such a delicious Thai feast at Korat Thai! 🇹🇭🌶️ Everything was so flavourful, from the spicy Chicken Wing Zaab to the rich Yellow Curry Crab Meat. The Mango Sticky Rice was the perfect sweet ending! 🥭🍚 Definitely a great spot for a hearty Thai meal with family and friends.
