5 stars for the orange ciabatta toast!!!!! i freaking love the east west fusion. the ciabatta is chewy and moist and perfumed gently by subtle orange aroma. the homemade kaya is the best in singapore to me - super super eggy and not too sweet. i also like that the kaya and butter is mixed in together (as opposed to a slab of butter sitting on top of the kaya) so that every bite is the perfect ratio of kaya and butter!!! do not get the orange ciabatta mixed up w the ciabatta - the bread base is completely different coffee is so so service is a little impatient cus the shop is alw bz
View on GoogleVisited Good morning Nanyang Cafe for my breakfast. We ordered both Value Set B & Nasi lemak. Nasi lemak felt below average. However Ciabatta Toast was really amazing and totally new experience! If you happen to visit, I strongly recommend to try Ciabatta Toast. And I would love to try Orange Ciabatta next time :)
View on GoogleOrder: Ciabatta toast with kaya only, kopi o kosong Friendly note: I have not tried an authentic Italian ciabatta toast before, so this comparison is based on other toast variations I’ve had previously. I think this is a very good rendition of a kaya toast set. I especially liked the kaya spread — it had a delicious eggy richness to it😋 The highlight for me was the kopi o kosong. It was surprisingly smooth and almost completely lacked the bitterness that kopi o kosong is usually known for, while still retaining a full-bodied and robust coffee texture with a satisfying kopi kick. I was genuinely surprised and amazed. Up to date, this is indeed the best kopi o kosong I have tasted. Thumbs up :) 👍 Service: I enjoyed the service as well. The staff members truly lived up to the stall’s title by greeting every customer with a cheerful “早”. Thank you so much for that warmth. They were also able to maintain their hospitality despite a slight disagreement between team members, which I appreciated.
View on GoogleReally sweet and friendly staff. We went right before the lunar new year and they shared some of their cookies with us. Their kaya toast tastes a little bit different from the other kaya shops but also very, very good. The Ciabatta is really good. Their traditional Kaya toast also really good. I want to try their orange Ciabatta next when we visit. Their coffee is also good, not too sweet and not very acidic.
View on GoogleA local hidden gem. The place has a nice kopitiam decor. The staff was very nice. Food was amazing, toast is very crunchy with a very nice toasted texture and taste. The portion feels larger too. The coffee is quite intense though.
