One of the stalls at taka food court. Ordered the all in pao fan. Take away add 50cents, slightly more for the packaging. White rice is separately packed, so is the fried rice bits. 2 fried fish, 4 scallops, 2 prawns all are fresh. Taste not bad but not wow. Is good comforting food for rainy days. Soup is seafood base but not like prawn noodle that flavourful. Oh but the prawn balls are good.
View on GoogleWas already full… but that photo got me 😅 couldn’t resist trying the *Seafood Poached Rice* at the foodcourt in Takashimaya Shopping Centre. And honestly, it’s pretty loaded — 3 big, plump, super fresh prawns, scallops, fried fish, prawn balls, plus crispy rice soaking up that rich, savory broth. Very comforting, especially if you’re in the mood for something warm and soupy. Quick heads up though: if you’re sensitive to that seafood-y smell, this might lean a bit strong since the broth is cooked with prawn heads. But the prawns themselves are sweet and fresh, so it still balances out nicely. SGD 12.90 — pretty fair for Singapore 👍
View on GoogleOrdered the 4 prawns and 2 scallops at $9.90. it comes with deep fried rice and egg fried items with this chilli dipping sauce. The soup tasted more prawny. Overall it was not bad for a food court standard. Not my best pao fan but it was okay
View on GoogleWhen the boiling bowl of seafood poached rice was served, we were immediately captivated by the vibrant golden soup. The seafood broth did not taste as intense and rich as it looked but it was not bad. They gave quite a lot of cripsy puffed rice but we thought they could have been as generous for the fried egg floss (though can pay and top up for more). Also, it would have been better if they served the boiling poached rice in claypots.
View on GoogleI always go for the chicken rice but after friend kept on repeating her prawn scallop Pao fan order, I decided to try too. Set 1 prawn scallop set had 4 prawns and 2 tiny scallops. Prawns were v fresh. Stock was fragrant and the prawn taste was thick without being overpowering.
