Military & historical museum inside a World War II–era British underground command center.

Located within the depths of the historic and luxuriant Fort Canning Hill, the Battlebox is Singapore’s only World War II bunker that is still operational, albeit as a historic site, today.

Totally amazing and the staff were first class all the way. I would put this at the top of all the attractions I've seen over my 20 days in Singapore. It is so good that they have saved this piece of history, so you really feel back in that time. Anyone who has an interest in history should not miss it and it is also set in the beautiful Fort Canning Park.

As someone who loves 20th-century history, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Battlebox. I used my free ticket, but there are audio guides available and some additional rooms to explore for those willing to spend a few dollars. Thank you to everyone who preserves this place.

Wonderful and unique museum in which we were able to go into the bunker itself and experience the tight spaces and musty walls. Filled with exhibition pieces and information boards. Great place to learn about and "feel" the war upclose.

Battlebox is a small underground bunker museum, but it carries immense historical significance — a truly eye-opening experience right in the heart of Singapore Walking through the rooms, you get a real sense of what it must have been like during World War II, with detailed recreations, immersive exhibits, and thoughtful storytelling that bring history to life. Despite its compact size, the experience feels rich and meaningful What stood out most was the staff — they were patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain and guide visitors, which made the visit even more engaging and insightful For Singaporeans, it’s also a great bonus that you can use your Culture Pass, making the visit free

My first experience with the Singapore Museum was at a place hidden in Fort Canning Park. Staff told us it will take 40 minutes. Nothing much inside but the story is still interesting. The admission fee is 20 SDG per person.
