TAP @ 9 Penang is the perfect spot for a relaxed evening out! Their selection of craft beers is impressive, with plenty of choices to suit different tastes. I especially enjoyed the seafood pizza, which was packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients and cooked to perfection. The chicken satay was also a highlight—tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, making it a must-try. The overall vibe is super chill, creating a great atmosphere to unwind with friends. Definitely a place to visit if you're in the area! 👌

Surprisingly really really good food and huge portion sizes. I had relatively low expectations for food from a bar-style restaurant, but I was blown out of the water by how good the food was. We got the Beef Cheek ($25) and the Pork Chop ($29) and both were exceptional. I had used the 1 for 1 mains on Entertainer, but they run promotions almost daily too. The beef cheek was huge and cooked to perfection, not too soft nor too hard. The roasted vegetables that accompanied both dishes were phenomenal, tasty but not overpoweringly so, and not dry. The mashed potato was also generous and had a good creamy texture. The pork chop was thick and quite moist for pork. It came with two sauces, one was a standard brown sauce and the other a spicy vinegary sauce. Both sauces were not bad, but the owner later gave us pink salt to eat with the pork chop and it significantly elevated the meat flavour. Honestly, it made the dish so much better and this should be the way it is served. We were also pleasantly treated to a complimentary dessert consisting of 2 brownies. Nothing special but nothing bad about them. As for the other reviews complaining about staff attitude, we did not experience that at all. The two wait staff were visibly rushing from table to table, but were polite when approached. The owner, might look gruff but clearly cared about the food and drinks they served and is actually friendly. Overall, I will gladly recommend this establishment for amazing western food. Albeit that the menu is relatively small, but what they do serve is amazing.

Such a welcoming friendly nook with fine food, good beer & great service! All the food we were recommended hit the right notes with us & were so thoughtfully curated & whipped up by the chef! Every dish has a story to tell, all so distinctively flavourful, with a wide range of craft beer to down with! Family friendly by day, cosy chillax by night! Will definitely be back again more frequently!

4.5 stars! I went for their 1-for-1 carnivorous buffet for $55++. In total each person spent $32.50. Their meats are seriously fragrant and tender, loved every bite! Their smoked duck is super fatty and chewy. Really like their angus beef cheeks which melts in your mouth and has a rich sauce. The sausages are okok but I really enjoyed their truffle pork sausage yum. Their french fries are also crispy and has a good mouthfeel! Their chicken wings are super crispy and slightly tasty but not really flavourful or anything. Their roasted vegetables are surprisingly damn good. It has a herby smokey crunch which pairs well with the meat! Idk why they gave us pork belly but it wasn't that good haha. Their mashed potatoes has a gsnuine texture of soft potato curds, but didn't taste like anything. I also really like their service! Although there were only 2 servers the whole night, they managed the customers really well! The guy wearing the polarized sunglasses was really nice and courteous to everyone :) I would come here again to eat their pizza (lots of people bought) or have a $10 beer during happy hour. Worth!

Great burger! Had the regular burger w/bacon and cheddar. Served with curly fries ....and a wheat craft beer. The beer was accurately described in the menu and wonderful on a warm sticky day. Service was great and staff very efficient. No washroom in this restaurant, but there is a very clean washroom about 30m to your right when you exit. There is lots of outdoor seating in the shade of the building overhang. Restaurant is 3 min from MRT station
