Good food. 🙂 We ordered pasta carbonara, seafood marinara with chicken chop and some fries (the meal already comes with iced lemon tea). They gave generous amount of pasta for both servings. The cook on the pasta was just right. 🙂 The pasta carbonara was well-seasoned. The flavor from the seafood marinara however was bit on the sweet side and lacks the taste of tomato. The fries were good (not soggy). The cook on the chicken chop was a bit oily. The iced lemon teas taste refreshing. Still a good meal overall. 🙂
View on GoogleAfter many times visiting this place, still impressed by the quality of the pasta at a super affordable price! Honestly really want to gatekeep this place but this is widely visited by SMU students and outsiders like me! The free ice lemon tea was just right, not too sweet. Aglio Olio was one of the better pastas I have eaten, I have eaten pastas that are twice the price but half the standard. Pasta was al-dente and full of garlic and other ingredients. Lovely!
View on GoogleYou definitely get your moneys worth here. The pasta is very good and only $4.80 along with an ice tea. They are relatively quick with the long lines. Great lunch spot as they also have tables around the center. Also have a variety of desserts and teas.
View on GoogleSuperb pasta in this area! Had been coming down to this place in my undergrad years many many years ago and I am glad the standard has remain unchanged. I would say the taste is EVEN BETTER!!! The only thing that changed perhaps was the price, it’s now cost $8 for Bacon Arrabiata. Had to top up $3.50 for fish fillet for that extra protein, total damage for me came up to $11.50 was tempted to buy the brownie also but decide to give it a miss. Love that the pasta is really well cooked, sauce is just right and fish fillet well fried. Wash all that goodness down with their ice lemon tea. Also the view here overlooking National Musuem of Singapore is just perfect.
View on GoogleOut of curiosity, I came to try this popular student food outlet for dinner. I tried: 1. Carbonara 2. Bacon aglio The pastas are cooked to al dente. Carbonara can be creamier. The bacon aglio is a bit too salty for me. Both tasted very home-cooked, with good portion. The taste is ok, but the price is really reasonable as each pasta comes with a cup of ice lemon tea. I also ordered chicken nugget to try. It's nothing fancy, just one of those frozen nuggets you get from supermarket. However it's a nice quick bite at the price of $1.50 for three. I came at 7.30pm and there was a queue. There are plenty of seats around the University's compound.
