Great Peranakan Museum! Very rich collection of history and heritage, with collections that take you back on a nostalgic memory lane. The moment you step inside, you are immersed in the vibrant culture, intricate craft, and fascinating stories of the Straits Chinese community. Every room is beautifully curated, showcasing exquisite kebayas, stunning beadwork, traditional porcelain, and ornate antique furniture that bring the past vividly to life. The architecture of the mansion itself is breathtaking, offering a perfect blend of grandeur and historical charm. The staff/guides are knowledgeable, passionate, and eager to share the rich context behind the exhibits, making the experience both educational and deeply moving. A absolute must-visit for history buffs, culture lovers, or anyone wanting to appreciate Singapore’s rich heritage. Highly recommended!

My friends and I had an indoor costume rental and photoshoot experience on a Sunday. The make-up staff are friendly and helpful. The photographers are professional and accommodating. The museum guides are bilingual (English and Mandarin) and polite. It's a wonderful place for locals to brush up on our heritage knowledge and also the perfect place for tourist friends to have a unique Singapore experience. 10/10 would recommend and do it again. Thank you, Peranakan Mansion!

Attended a great tour of the museum today! The museum is made of three old homes fused into one space, and my tour guide shared with me many interesting facts about Peranakan culture. I learned about wedding customs, cultural symbols (pheonix & peonies), and many more little tidbits of information. Hope to learn more about Peranakan culture! No need to buy tickets, just walk in and pay $12. It's also covered by the SG Culture Pass, if any Singaporeans want to visit.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Peranakan Museum with Jade as my guide! She is an incredible storyteller—engaging, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the history, culture, and customs of the Peranakan people. I learned so much from her, from how people lived in the past and their social customs to the fascinating meanings behind the symbols and colours found on porcelain and traditional costumes. Jade made the experience so enjoyable and brought the history to life. Highly recommend a tour with her!

The guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and explained the history, culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the Peranakan community in a clear and interesting manner. The stories and explanations helped us gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Peranakan heritage. The guide was also patient in answering questions and ensured that everyone in the group could follow along comfortably. Their passion and enthusiasm made the tour enjoyable and memorable.
