Never tried Bak gut teh before but I really liked it. Herbal and hearthy soup. Thing is it was a hot day and the soup is also hot so I was sweating the whole time because the shop has no AC. The staff sat me down right in front of the fan though but still...

I was passing by the area and needed a supper, and I was quite delighted to see an old school bkt place with michellin bib gourmand. I ordered the small special bkt as I was alone. The soup was overly salty and im not getting much herbal taste as you would expect from a black traditional style bkt. It almost feels like the white pepper version has more herbs so it is quite telling. Not sure if i just stumbled in on a bad day. It was quite disappointing experience overall due to the high expectations I had entering the restaurant.

One of the best Bak Koot Teh in Singapore with black soup. The pork ribs are so fresh that it just simply felt off the bone. The soup was superb with the mee suan together with the fried fritter. Will be back to try other dishes

If you keen for a Non pepper BKT, this place is a must. We came at 7 pm, queueing for 30 mins. A non AC place. Fast and efficient service. The kidney mee sua was so good 👌 to accompany the BKT along with you tiao

Traditional BKT - 3/5 Meat is quite tender, soup is okay, nothing to shout about. Size of the ribs is average. $15 for medium size. Sesame chicken - 1/5 $9 Absolutely no taste of sesame at all. Honestly the worst sesame chicken I ever eaten, and it's one of their recommended items. I really have better BKT at hawker before, half of their price.
