I have to admit, I am not a big fan of Peranakan food. The rest of my family have been travelling around looking for good Peranakan food. But after trying Peranakan Inn with them, I may have been swayed a bit. I have heard this place had the best Nonya Chap Chye and I was not disappointed. The Beef Rendang was tender and flavourful. The Ayam Buah Keluak was my favourite this time around. Rounded off by various other dishes like sliced fish and prawns. Finished off by the famous chendol which I devoured very quickly. All in all a good dining experience.

Enjoyed my Peranakan lunch experience that checks off both for the food and the ambience. The restaurant is in a small shophouse in East Coast, and is decorated in a rustic Nonya style. Seating is a little cramp due to the small space. Food wise I can see a lot of effort made in making each individual dish, most are aromatic and delicious. And they serve fast too! Suggestion to go ahead and order many small dishes and the servings are rather small.

Came here excited after hearing some recommendations and left disappointed. It is pricey for the portions they serve (e.g chendol in the picture is $10 each) but the environment is clean and nice. We came in Thursday lunch time and the restaurant was pretty empty. Despite having no customers during peak lunch hours we were told they were out of beef rendang. There goes most of my excitement. The other food was decent but nothing extraordinary. What really made me post this review was the chendol. The menu said it will be made with shaved ice and given the price I expected atleast something shareable. Instead we got a chendol soup with ice that’s clumped into a ball. Overall given the abundance of alternatives in the city, I do not recommend this restaurant.

Nice little peranakan restaurant with pretty interior designs and a cozy ambient! Ordered a few dishes (small option) and they were not bad! However the portion is quite tiny and the prices are on the higher side. Overall a great place to dine and chill if you don't mind pricy peranakan food!
