I called Parkway Mini Steamboat yesterday to ask a simple question: "What time is the last order for lunch?" The staff member who answered (with a Malaysian accent) told me 2:30 PM. I replied that I would head over. Instead of welcoming a customer, she immediately interrupted and said that I had to finish eating by 3:00 PM because she was not paid overtime to wait for customers to finish their lunch. That response was genuinely surprising. As a customer, I was asking about your operating hours, not requesting special treatment or asking the staff to work beyond the restaurant's stated closing time. If the restaurant's policy is that customers must finish by 3:00 PM, that could have been communicated politely and professionally. What made the experience worse was her attitude. When I said I would provide feedback to the management, her response was simply, "Go ahead." That level of indifference reflects poorly on the restaurant and suggests she felt completely comfortable speaking to customers in such a dismissive manner. It is disappointing when a staff member appears to believe that protecting their own convenience is more important than treating customers with basic courtesy and respect. Restaurants can have strict operating hours—that is entirely understandable—but there is no justification for speaking to customers in a condescending or confrontational manner. I hope the management reviews this incident seriously. Good food can attract customers once, but courteous and professional service is what keeps them coming back. Unfortunately, this interaction left the impression that one staff member's attitude was enough to overshadow the entire dining experience.

A cozy and lively restaurant with decent ingredients at affordable prices. The chicken soup base and Tom yum soup base are good, though you should add vegetable to sweeten it. The fish glue is very good. They Chili sauce is great as well.

Decided to try upon friend's strong recommendation. We ordered the Winepot and Mala. The Mala was quite good, drinkable type. However, the Winepot was a little weak in flavor. The quality of the meats and house-made balls are quite good. And staff were ever ready to top-up the soup bases 👍

Haven’t had such a fantastic steamboat meal in a while! Every ingredient is so fresh, that I finished everything even though I was so full already haha. Their soup bases are so tasty without using any MSG! Especially the tom yum base that is full of kick without being overly sourish or spicy. I especially enjoy their handmade balls, noodle and paste (手工肉丸/面条/胶)! So rich in flavour and have a QQ texture that factory-made ones can never replicate. Spicy food lovers will also enjoy the different chilli sauces that they offer - special chilli sauce, garlic chilli and belachan chilli. Customers love their chilli sauces so much that they are sold in bottles! Their soup bases can also be purchased during CNY period only. They are usually packed in the evenings and weekends so do make a reservation before heading down! A lost and found GEM. I last eaten it maybe 20 years old. I am so grateful to find back them. Nostalgic feeling of eating their steamboat. Their signature tom yam soup, chilli soup, fish glue, fragrant rice. All still so good! Very homely kind of steamboat restaurant.
