I recently visited Neptune Cafe and had a lovely dining experience. We ordered the seafood somen, forged croquettes, and summer chicken stew — and all the dishes were well-prepared and satisfying. The seafood somen was light and refreshing, with a clean broth that complemented the seafood nicely. The croquettes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making them a comforting side dish. The summer chicken stew was warm and flavorful, with tender chicken that made it especially enjoyable. The overall atmosphere of the cafe was cozy and relaxing, making it a nice place to catch up with friends or enjoy a slow meal. Service was also friendly and attentive. Overall, a pleasant spot with a good variety of comforting dishes. Worth a visit if you’re looking for a chill café with satisfying food options! 🌿✨
View on GoogleLocated at a corner, not crowded on weekday lunch. Nice interior, relaxing to chill and chat with friends. Ordered the shrimp scampi, did not wow me though. Lots of prawns but the sauce can be more flavourful. Is an average pasta but cost $26 after gst so quite pricey. Portion is substantial. The Brussels sprout is good though. Crispy with a bit of salt sprinkled, nicely charred and not over done. But need to share and pair with other food so as not to get tired of it.
View on Googlesecond time back at Neptune and their seafood somen remains my favourite dish here! loved the aburi salmon, pan seared scallops, and scallion oil noodles. idk of anywhere else that serves something quite like this, so i’d definitely come back just for this dish :) previously i had their steak ratatouille & mash and i really enjoyed it... was pretty bummed when i realised it had been removed from their menu. everything else we had was good, but it's your typical cafe brunch grub and not particularly memorable. would be back just for their seafood somen (and coffee hehe). ambience wise, i really loved how nice and chill this spot is, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. the layout also feels very similar to Columbus Coffee (their sister outlet). one thing i feel they could improve on is definitely their service. the servers were mostly standing around and weren’t very attentive, even when the cafe was not crowded. had a hard time getting their attention to refill our water, get additional serviettes etc.
View on GoogleI've been to this café many times, and it never disappoints. The Foie Double Cheese Burger is absolutely incredible—rich, juicy, and melts in your mouth. If you're really hungry, it's definitely one of the best choices on the menu. The Flat White is consistently excellent as well. On my most recent visit, I tried the Chia Pudding & Yogurt, and it was fresh, healthy, and delicious. It's a great option if you're looking for something light and nutritious. I recommend visiting on a weekday if you prefer a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere. One thing I really like about this café is that it gets plenty of natural daylight, making it a lovely place to enjoy your coffee during the day. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleWent to Pearlyn's favourite café near her neighbourhood 💚 The entire shop is styled with Tiffany green and white as its main tones, paired with wooden furniture that brings a delicate designer vibe✨. The interior is spacious and cosy, flooded with natural daylight, creating an incredibly soothing atmosphere. This spot is always packed with Western visitors, especially fully booked every weekend. It’s famously known as one of Singapore’s top brunch destinations, and it’s always the first choice whenever people crave a hearty brunch🥐. We already had our lunch, so we dropped by simply for coffee and cake to unwind☕. Parking here is notoriously difficult; surrounded by rows of terrace houses with no large public carpark, you have to hunt slowly for vacant spots. Even on a weekday, the café still maintained its bustling crowd. Guests were leisurely chatting over their drinks, along with many yoga lovers stopping by for a casual gathering, simply lingering away their afternoon time🍃. She ordered a matcha drink🍵. It carried an intensely rich matcha flavour, with the perfect balance of fresh green tea aroma and creamy milk texture — never overly cloying. A scoop of premium matcha ice cream sits atop the drink, elevating its overall richness and fragrance to another level🍨. The café also offers a lovely selection of cookies and cakes🍪. Though the dessert variety is not overwhelming, the cake choices are more than sufficient. I always can’t resist ordering their signature chocolate marble cake whenever I spot it, thanks to its ideal butter and chocolate ratio. This time it was beautifully decorated in a cute Christmas wreath design🎄. I also picked an earl grey tea cake, as I have always been fond of all earl grey flavoured desserts. This treat delivers a subtle delicate tea fragrance with gentle sweetness. For me, earl grey pastries should always prioritise aromatic depth rather than excessive sugar levels🌸. As for the chocolate marble cake, its texture was truly outstanding — dense, firm and substantial instead of being light and fluffy. Regrettably, the buttery aroma wasn’t prominent enough, and the chocolate notes lacked purity. The strong butter taste easily overshadowed the cocoa flavour. Nonetheless, its texture remains impressive, finished with a thin layer of chocolate coating that gives it a hearty pound-cake-like consistency🍫. On the other hand, the earl grey cake leaned slightly too sweet for my preference. I would personally prefer a stronger tea essence paired with reduced sugar. Both desserts have their own distinctive textures: the earl grey version is soft and pillowy, while the marble cake is solid and dense. Their flavours are decent overall, yet not irresistible enough to draw me back for a dedicated revisit🤎. Final verdict: The ambient vibe scores exceptionally high, while the service is casual and laid-back. Once your order is placed, the staff will leave you undisturbed, making this the perfect hideout for quiet heart-to-heart chats or peaceful solo daydreaming with friends🌿.
