Makcik's cooking is homely and tasty. She is a gem, doing everything herself from clearing up, taking orders and cooking. Regulars understand she is a one woman show, so they are patient and most helpfully clear their plates before leaving. The food is great, and I must have the sambal prawn everytime. Recently discovered the rendang too and its super tender. Highly recomended!

Humble eatery in a rowshop house off lower East Coast Road serving authentic Indonesian/Malay food. It is food I remembered growing up eating that still retains the original quality and flavor of local food favorites like mee soto and mee rebus, both of which I’ve savored here. Another recommendation is home made lime juice. Chef and owner Rose proudly said that she had been in business for 25 years at the same place but sadly she plans to retire end of the year and close the store. She acquired her culinary skills from mom but her children have chosen the teaching profession.

I come here every Saturday to have my nasi padang fix. This place screams old school. Two old ladies doing EVERYTHING; the prep, cooking, plating, orders and wash up. The sweet elderly ladies has been in this corner of east coast for the past 25 years, feeding hundreds daily. Everyone is welcome and everyone is recognised if you visit more than once. There's no special treatment here. Everyone lines up and order, they sit down, eat fast so others can enjoy dining in. This place is packed during lunch hour. At any point in time, their nasi padang has about 30 dishes for you to choose from. Not only that, they have other indonesian dishes like soto, mee rebus and lontong. A must visit.

Best lontong around the area. Perfectly cooked the way I liked it. Tastes so homely, always reminding me of the warm hospitality I received from my neighbour’s makcik from my childhood. Gravy soup is rich and flavourful and the bouncy fragrant rice cake just soaks in all the goodness.. ingredients are fresh also. It’s pure comfort in a bowl lah. Just come try, you won’t be disappointed. People eat fried chicken for cheat day, but for me, I always save a spot for Melor’s lontong.

A quiet, no-frills spot for nasi padang. We stumbled upon this place by chance while nearby and were surprised by how good the food was! Came back for a second visit and tried different lauk — still just as tasty. It’s not mind-blowing, but for the price, it’s honestly really good and definitely worth coming back for.
