Decent seafood at reasonable prices, especially considering its convenient location in the heart of Joo Chiat and next to the public carpark. CDC vouchers are accepted too! Assam fish head (7/10). The curry leaned towards the milkier side rather than delivering the sharp, tangy assam punch. Thankfully, the fish itself was fresh and cooked well, remaining tender without falling apart. There is also an option to choose the tail portion if you prefer meatier cuts with fewer bones. Claypot tofu (8/10). Comforting, flavourful, and addictive. The dish came packed with a mix of ingredients and textures - soft tofu, fermented pork, prawns, snow peas, cabbage, egg, and black fungus soaked in the savoury gravy. Every spoonful felt hearty and satisfying. Haezhor (7.5/10). Meaty with a satisfying bite from the minced meat mixture. It was enjoyable to share around the table. Harcheonggai (7/10). Well-seasoned and savoury from the prawn paste marinade. The chicken was juicy too. Sambal kangkong (7/10) The sambal packed a spicy punch and the kangkong had a nice crunch without being too soggy.

View on GoogleChance upon this eating place after a bad encounter at a nearby BKT place. Friendly staff and tasty food. The sambal is goooood. Prices are decent and reasonable too. They have a $68 promotion with 5 dishes on weekday nights that look super value for money. Going to return and try. 😋
View on GoogleI've been here a few times now and the food is consistently good with a great variety. The price is also super reasonable for the quality of food you're getting. Anytime someone comes to town, this is one of the first places I take them. The staff is friendly and funny. Definitely a place that I'll keep coming back to.
View on GoogleThey publish in their menu for a medium stir fry gravy noodle as SGD10; then when ordering an adding an extra egg; it becomes SGD14.30. Mediocre and overrated at best. Time to wind up and head down to Dunman Food Center for ZI Char just right down the road.
