A good place to bring overseas friends who want to try a variety of local food. They serve chicken rice and a selection of other familiar local favourites, so it’s easy to order a few dishes to share and try a bit of everything. They also have a nice selection of local desserts, which is a plus. Overall we enjoyed the food. The place is nice and comfortable. Service was ok overall, though a little more attentiveness and politeness would make the experience even better. Still a good casual spot for local food, especially when bringing overseas friends.
View on GoogleAir con place. We ordered both steamed and roasted chicken. Both were nice but i prefer roasted. Can choose white rice or chicken rice. Must add braised egg. They can choose single, double, 1/4, 1/2 or whole chicken. Free soup. They have other dishes like toufu, greens, seafood too! Crew are nice and friendly. They have 10%service fee and 9%GST. Can eat! Delicious! In my own opinion, better than Ti** Ti** chicken rice. Awesome!
View on GoogleTried a few dishes here recently. The kampung chicken was tender and paired nicely with the rice. The creamy curry pork went well with rice, while the broccoli with braised baby abalone added a lighter touch. The signature hometown tofu was soft inside with a nice flavour.
View on GoogleNot a big shop, bigger portion is the zichar beside. Has lunch deal. Dabao their white and roast chicken with rice for $10.40. Portion is big for 1 pax, can be shared by 2. Roast meat added on is quite a lot but white chicken only has 4-5 small pieces. White chicken is tender and nice. kampong chicken has a more yellowish skin. Rice is flavourful and not mushy. Chilli is quite spicy and nice. Ginger paste has a sour tinge so quite refreshing and goes well with the white chicken. More famous for white. 1 pax rice stated as $7.20, without rice is $5+. Cdc accepted. Aunt didn't specifically tell me add on is how much, but only tell me the total with gst. Place is not crowded at all on 5.30pm weekday. Has other dishes like zichar as well. Pork belly looks good. Will try next time.
View on GoogleStumbled upon this place whilst walking past looking for an AC and hearty feed and it was so good!! Great portions, tasty and spacious — what more could I ask for! Loved the cereal squid, tofu, salted fish fried rice, dry hor fun! Would recommend and return for the chicken
