I came to work in Singapore and found this restaurant near my place. It’s a small shop, not very big, but the food tastes really good. I ordered the Cheeky Signature set. It comes with seasoned noodles served with soup. The soup is rich and refreshing, with a nice seafood flavor. The pork lard pearl rice is also very well seasoned, fragrant with sauce and full of flavor. I also ordered pork, chicken, and beef satay to try. All the meat is well marinated, tender, and has no bad smell. The dipping sauce is a bit too sweet for me, but even without the sauce, the satay is still very delicious.
View on GoogleI like their handmade bee hoon, which is springy and doesn’t get soggy even after soaking in the soup for a long time. The soup base is flavorful without being too salty. The dry noodles are tasty and slightly similar to the Malaysian-style dry noodles (干捞面), which we prefer in Singapore and would definitely come back for. The cockles (hum) are large and fresh, and the dry-steamed gong gong is fresh and tasty as well—even though I’m usually not a fan, I enjoyed it here. The shop’s interior has a vintage 70s–80s Nanyang vibe, which is very charming and reminiscent of old-school days. It’s also a great place to take photos!
View on GoogleThey're known for their homemade slow-cooked broth that's rich, hearty and packed with umami. You can ask for free refill of the soup. We tried both the Fish Maw Soup and Salmon Head Soup. The Fish Maw Soup comes with tender pork slices, while the Salmon Head Soup features a fresh, meaty salmon head. We loved the dry mee pok tossed in XO sauce, and we've got a feeling it'd pair just as well with their springy handmade Malaysian-style thick bee hoon. Don't skip their homemade coriander sauce—it seriously elevates every bite! you'll love the retro vintage décor that feels like stepping back into the '80s. While you're there, don't miss the Teochew Blood Clams and Gong Gong, available exclusively at this outlet. ✨ Promo: • $1.99 Fried Salmon Head Soup (U.P. $5.80) • $0.99 Hot Kopi or Teh
View on GoogleCame here for their signature bee hoon and ended up ordering a few sides too. The broth was comforting and packed with ingredients. Also enjoyed the satay, gong gong and Teochew seahum. Everything came together for a satisfying meal. Will be back when the bee hoon craving hits again.
View on GoogleI love the Cheeky Satay!!! One of the few places that sell good satay, with good peanut gravy and rice. The braised pork belly, slice fish with minced pork are very good too. Will come visit again and try other dishes on the menu. Highly recommend this eatery if you are in Katong / Marine Parade area.
