Had a quiet weekday lunch at ASTONS Specialities Joo Chiat. We had the Provençale Chicken (Chargrilled Chicken Chop), served with tasty rice and creamed spinach, and crispy friend chicken. Staff were polite and patient, really good hospitality. The place is cozy and comfortable, with a nice western steakhouse vibe and a meat display up front. Weekday lunch crowd was light, so it was a relaxing meal. Food was not bad and fairly priced, just so-so for me taste-wise, nothing to complain about for $15. Would come back for the service and the chill atmosphere.
View on GoogleI was there on their Aston 20 years celebration 29 May 25. Arrived at 1130 am and the queue as expected was simply too long even though it was drizzling. Came back again in the afternoon and situation was better. Managed to get into restaurant in slightly more than an hour. This restaurant was beautiful and was very well air conditioned. It reminded me of the stark contrast with Stadium Aston which was like a furnace. Mr Edmund Toh was hard at work again managing the crowd. They took orders in advance while you were queueing. Once you sat down, the food was almost ready and served in a minute or two. The food here was indeed tasty. The butter corn side dish was very good. It seemed to be a concoction of butter, corn and bits of ba kwa. The evening crowd at 6 pm was tremendous. Took a long time to finally entering at 845 pm. The food preparation took longer time but the food quality was not compromised. Mr Edmund Toh amazingly could still remember my name from the visit to The Ranch. Overall it was really nice of Aston to run this promotion and to allow us to know the restaurants better.
View on GoogleBumped into this unique Steak outlet that apparently serves good steak. We were recommended Beef Short Ribs and French onion soup to share. The beef was tender and flavourful ; the French onion soup was great too, a quality soup difficult to come by these days. The manager in charge Emily did an awesome job managing though very short staffed. The overall service was top notch. I would certainly dine there again. 👍
View on GoogleThis outlet only serve premium selection which is different from the normal menu of Aston’s. They are more pricey but it’s worth it. Even the grass fed sirloin steak taste better than the ribeye that they serve at their regular outlets in my opinion. Service is also top notch.
View on GoogleFood is good, I personally find better quality then normal astons, worth paying a bit more for prime. Bake bloom onion is nice although bake but still a bit oily. Food standard is great! Mashed potato is using real potato not powder type. Not crowded on a weekend evening. Sometimes hard to get staff attention if you sitting at the other side of the restaurant.
