Had an açaí bowl here and enjoyed the experience overall. The food was good, and everything was prepared well. The store was clean, and the operation seemed efficient and well organized, making the ordering process smooth and hassle-free. While the açaí bowl was certainly enjoyable, it did not particularly stand out from other good options in the same category. Overall, a solid and well-run establishment that delivers exactly what you would expect.

If you’re looking for the best açaí in Katong, An Açai Affair - Katong is an absolute gem. I’m a regular here, and it never disappoints. The açaí is consistently fresh, perfectly balanced, and super refreshing — especially on a warm Singapore evening. Whether you’re grabbing a quick takeaway or enjoying it nearby, it always hits the spot. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they even make my dog feel like part of the family — which is something you don’t find everywhere. It genuinely feels like a community spot rather than just another café. A special shoutout to Isabel, the store manager, who does an amazing job. You can tell she truly cares about customers and creates such a positive vibe every time I visit. Also worth mentioning: their loyalty/awards program is one of the best around — it actually rewards you in a meaningful way and makes coming back even more worthwhile. If you’re in Katong or the East Coast area and craving a healthy, delicious treat, this is hands down one of the top spots. Great food, great people, and consistently great experiences.

If you find yourself in the East Coast area looking for a refreshing fix, An Açaí Affair at Katong remains a reliable staple. Located at 101 East Coast Road, this outlet retains the cozy, homegrown charm that started the brand’s journey. The Vibe & Experience • Crowd Control: Visiting at 4:30 pm on a weekend is a pro-move. There was no queue, making the ordering process quick and seamless. • Seating: Unlike some of their smaller grab-and-go kiosks, this branch offers indoor air-conditioned seating. It’s a great spot to escape the humidity, though the space is relatively intimate. • Retail Therapy: Beyond the bowls, they also sell merchandise. If you’re a fan of their aesthetic or want to recreate the experience at home, you can pick up items like their signature nut butters or even branded apparel. The Bowl: Hits & Misses I opted for the Greek Physique, which features a blend of açaí and Greek yogurt. • Temperature Contrast: One thing to note is that the Greek yogurt and açaí are not the same temperature. The açaí is served frozen/semi-solid, while the yogurt is chilled but softer. This can lead to the yogurt melting the açaí base faster than usual, so eat quickly if you dislike a "soupy" finish! • The Layering Critique: While the toppings (banana, strawberry, blueberry, granola, etc.) are fresh, the construction could be improved. The fruits are mostly concentrated at the top. To the staff: it would be much better to layer the fruits and açaí throughout the bowl so that every mouthful includes a bit of fruit, rather than just having a pile of plain açaí at the bottom. Menu & Pricing Prices remain competitive for the area, generally ranging from $7.00 for a Small to $16.00+ for a Large signature bowl. • Triple A: The classic go-to. • Nutty Party: Perfect for those who prefer crunch over tartness. • Sourdough Toasts: A solid option if you want something warm to balance the cold bowls. Tip: If you’re a purist, ask them to "double layer" your granola or fruits when they're prepping the bowl!

Feedback on My Visit to Acai Affair I would like to share some feedback regarding my earlier visit today at around 12pm. I approached the staff to enquire about the forzen type of acai bowls as I was not familiar with the options. Unfortunately, I felt that the female staff member I spoke to came across as rather impatient and condescending. Her facial expression and tone obviously gave me the impression that she was looking down on me. I also felt that she was not very willing to explain the options or answer my questions. Thankfully, after a while, another male staff member behind her stepped forward and explained things to me in a much more friendly, genuine and helpful manner. I really appreciated his approach. I understand that staff may be busy, but customers should never feel belittled for asking questions. Not every customer is familiar with the products, and a friendly explanation can make a big difference in helping someone feel comfortable and confident about making a purchase. For a service-oriented business, I believe staff should make customers feel welcomed and respected, regardless of how much they know about the product. A positive and approachable attitude can also encourage customers to learn more and ultimately feel happier about purchasing. I hope the management can take this feedback constructively and remind the team that good customer service is not only about serving the product, but also about making customers feel comfortable, valued and welcome.

Always ard Katong but prob didn’t realize this acai has been here for 10 whole years. My bad.really friendly and helpful staff service, especially Isabelle who made my Friday night a little better. Acai taste fantastic like their other outlets but the stand out is definitely the staff!
