Feeling of granny’s love can be found here. Old shop, same recipe for decades. Here Yong Tao Fu (stuffed tou fu) is served half soup half dry on the same plate! The name is closer to Hakka pronunciation (Niong Tiew Fu). Yong Dao Fu is Cantonese pronunciation, while Yong Dao Hu is Hokkien/Teochew. The broth is clear but flavourful, comes with the soy beans that give it the rounded light flavour. The stuffed Tou Fu comes in a variety that you can either pick yourself or have it in a set. Compared to those at Hawker centres and coffee shops, the price here is steeper. Per pax about $13 per including a drink. Taste: 4 Service: 4 Ambience: 2 (but with old homely feel)

Visited this outlet after a long time since the last time. Place is need. The staff are generally friendly and responsive unlike other has claimed to be rude and lack of service. Food wise, somehow the taste is not as tasty as before but it is still good. The soup is also as good. Except that it is slightly more pricey than before. Overall is worth the visit for a change.

We had a long walking from geylang serai to this place. It's located along the east coast rd with simple, spacious and old fashioned but clean design interior. Basically it's a Hakka Yong Tau Foo, and (maybe) the name Ampang comes from the place Ampang in KL. The taste soup of the ampang yong tau foo is clean and tasty. The mix variety of the yong tau foo each comes with minced filling minced pork from 2 tofu, 1 slices of bittergourd, 1 slice of eggplant, 1 pcs of red chilli, okra, fishball, beancurd fishcake, and 1 pcs of thin slices of fried beancurd and comes with sauce (red sweet bean and chilli). You can eat it with or without rice. Price of each @$0.70. The fried beancurd is the best part IMHO. We ordered sour plum but it's not like what we expected because the drink came without real sour plum fruit, the taste more like syrup and no sour at all. Great place to taste real Ampang Yong Tau Foo with old fashioned kind of feeling!

This restaurant closed soon for good, therefore, we decided to check it out. In facts, boss and staffs aint friendly (they quarrel and bekcek quite often, sibeh short tempered during good business hours), workflow aint systematic and staff handles diners unfriendly or suka hati (we witness 2 tables canceled order immediately and one dined with bad mood all the way). Their 釀料 can't comparable with those I had in Malaysia, fist paste aint generous and Q弹 (doink doink). Please be mind preped if you dine in, usually takeaway gt their food first. We saw 2 tables canceled order and paid for drinks after long waiting. This lunch took us 1.75 hours, we actually finished all servings within 10 minutes only.

Visited this shop after realising the Chin Mee Chin shop opposite had a really long queue. Very happy with the decision to switch because the food here was good! The soup was light and complemented the ingredients on offer. Unique ones include quail eggs and the crispy tofu skin. Price wise, every item is fixed price. You can order a platter based on the number of pax at the table or you can pick specific ones from the order slip.
