Food is tasty. You receive the food very quickly after ordering as well. I always have the milo ice from here. The Mee Theng is also very good. The chocolate pratha is also very nice. I tried the mutton briyani as well. It was good. Meat is soft. Good portion size. Its not a restaurant so don't expect restaurant quality service and atmosphere.

Five years ago i gave it a 3 star review - new staff new ideas — now it’s much better. The Prata is solid with great curry and I tried the masala dosai which is great Earning they use a computer based ordering so make sure the information you give the server gets to the chef

It said Mr Mamak Restaurant on the green awning.. that's its identity that we love and prefer. Nestled among the hipster cafes in Joo Chiat is this unpretentious eatery. Come in your most comfortable shorts and flip flops... not to pose for IG with the overpriced, oversweat rainbow colored cakes. I had its sumptuous paper thosai and my friend the fried chicken biryani. We wolfed down our dinner with thick fragrant curry and teh halia. Will I come back again? No question.. as this is probably my umpteen times. When you are Katong and need to feel at ease or the hipster cafes have closed for the night, come here.

Murtabak (SGD $10) @ Al Falah Barakah Restaurant. . Established since November 2007, this stall is praised for their well-executed renditions, generous portions, and wide range of fillings. . The pan-fried dough is crispy, fluffy, golden, and light, folded and filled with wispy chicken egg, crisp red onions, and your choice of spiced meat or fish - tender minced mutton, chewy shredded chicken, flaky tuna fish, or soft sardine fish, generally spiced with turmeric and curry powder. . Has lovely smoky meaty bready eggy vegetal salty savoury spice flavour. Served with a side of fish curry or chicken curry for added salty savoury spicy kick.

Made a visit as it always seems to be crowded, but turns out to be just fine. Prata is freshly made, but seems lacking in terms of texture. The dough was pretty firm and lacked any flavour. The curry didn’t help much either and it wasn’t particularly robust in flavour. Also, being on the watery side, the curry could not cling on well to the prata. Overall, not terrible but certainly not memorable.
