One of the best laksa cuisine in Singapore to start the day. It located at East Coast Rd. They are not only offering laksa, but also other dishes such as nasi lemak, chicken rice and some other side dishes like otah, mantau, taro ball, glutinous rice cake, etc. Laksa: A thick laksa curry, i presumed it used milik instead of using coconut milk. The taste is quite delicious with a bit of spicy flavor. They cut the noodle to make us easier to eat. Great place to recommend for those exploring East Coast area of Singapore. I wish we can come there again.
View on GoogleHaving a funny stomach, for a long time I couldn't really eat soup lest it sends me straight to the bathroom. But staying in Katong area and having my Singaporean mate really recommending this place, I took a risk and found my dormant love for laksa. Oh wow, this thing is just a flavour bomb: spicy, nutty, prawny, brawny, creamy, umami and just about everything good. And most importantly, my stomach was fine. Didn't even have to go the bathroom straight away. Huzzah. Now I'm looking up recipes so I can try to make something like this at home. Legend has it (as a matter of fact), the owner beat Gordon Ramsay in a blind tasting laksa contest. Still, good on him for trying to beat the locals at their own game.
View on GoogleWe got a large laksa and a chicken laksa. I do love laksa but I eat it very rarely due to the extremely high saturated fat content. I liked the broth. The chilli was ok. The disappointments were (1) the noodles were not really QQ. It was ok, it just wasn’t excellent. (2) we got a taro custard ball. This was just ok. Overall a good but not great meal. Service was good. Responsive. The ambience was … meh. They can do better. At S$15/person including a drink, it was above par and good but not excellent. I think they can do better. For sure with the ambience. But also a bit with the food.
View on GoogleVisited on 27 Dec 2025. Shredded chicken laksa: 2/5, $7.3. Chicken was very dry and tough, almost like chewing on strings. Noodles was not Q. It tasted dry- not cooked or not boiled long enough before serving. Small laksa: 4/5, $7.3. Per usual, good recipe, noodles seemed ok here in comparison. Overall, pricey at $7.3. Sambal chili was in packets. Definitely no reason to go for large unless you're sharing with two, though I don't know if they will give you looks if you share a bowl. Opt for no herb flakes if you are the type to keep coughing/choking while drinking the spicy food. I eat a lot of chilli and I suspect the flakes stick to ones throat/gullet when eating, causing the choking sensation.
